Ive tried several types of pick over the last few years distilling the properties I enjoy. Ultex provides a bright attack, solid feeling and a great tip. It plays well and feels great. Whatever they do to make Ultex black does seem to affect the tone the pick gives making it a little darker than normal Ultex. I prefer this. .Great for chugging out some heavy riffs and shredding solos.The pointy tip makes good for alternate picking,especially on the thicker strings.If I need something heavier I usually reach for these.The heavier the better with these as well,go with the 1.14.

.I love the feel of these picks. Ultex has always been one of my favorites. The only bad thing about these picks is that, for me at least, the graphic wears off pretty quickly, but i didnt buy these for the graphic. Overall, these are great.

Well, I misunderstood I guess. I thought the picks came in a cool tin. Mine did not. Features only six picks.
These are cool picks for collecting and thats what I bought 'em for. Missing the tin though.
