I've been using picks for almost 60 years.....this is a great one for "breaking through" when there is a lot of live music on the platform and you get lost in the traffic.....you can really dig in with this pick and get your notes to ring.....not harsh but deep and soft at the same time. You might just want to score the surfaces a few times with a box cutter blade to give you a little more grip....and the pick has plenty of thickness to handle it....try a 6 pack and see what happens....a good buy in today's marketDunlop 477R208 Jazztone Guitar Picks - Large Pointed 3 Dozen
.This is definitely the best guitar pick I have used to date. It's excellent for anyone that wants to play fast without getting sloppy. Nice and thick, so you actually feel like you're holding on to something that isn't going to snap if you play too hard. The surface is pretty easy to grip, kinda like a Gator Grip but to a lesser extent. It's definitely easier to hold than a regular, smooth plastic pick. The pointed edge allows for a really smooth release which helps your speed and your technique greatly. Combine the point with the thickness of the pick and you have a winning combination.

.Recommended by a friend. They are easy to grip and control. They interact with the strings in a manner that allows more speed without clicking. They allow you to brush and sweep over the strings effortlessly as well, which out noise. Top Notch.

.My guitar tech, turned me on to his pick, one day when I was noodling around in his shop. It took a while, for me to find these, as there was no markings on the used pick he gave me.
Have been looking and trying everything, from Red Bear's fine offerings to Santana's triangular pick. This is the one that, besides their great bang for buck, works best for me, in all situations.

.Absolutely excellent pick. Formerly, I used the Jazz III's, but these are far superior for anyone that does lots of alternate picking and sweeps. You see, this pick has a way of SLIDING over the string, allowing for a more rapid playing style, rather than catching on the string and hindering speed of play. My only complaint is that if my hands get sweaty, the pick has a way of slipping...after all, it's smooth! Quite frankly, I don't see why they sell these things in packages so large...I only have one, which I picked up at a guitar shop, and I've used the thing for six months straight with minimal wear.

.For those bassists who enjoy using a pick, these are the ONLY picks I recommend. These bad boys can take a beating like nothing else. They are large enough for a comfortable grip, and can handle the thick bass strings like nobody's business, even if you like to shred.

.this pick is not only great for jazz and blues riffs but will blow your mind when it comes to playing metal as well, the pick comes to beveld edge point wich makes it extremly good for double picking and moving it from string to string while double picking

.These picks are very versatile, but for me, I prefer a smaller bodied pick like the Gator Grip 1.5MM. They are dandy though, I found that you can loosen your grip on them a bit and they act real loose and are good for those 6 string chords like F Major. They are also good for fast, accurate alternate picking of strings etc.. applicable for the realm of heavy metal. If you are switching between lead and rythym roles, I recomend these handy dudes.
