I own a steel slide but I don't like the relationship between the steel strings and the slide.I have used my bottle slide from day one on my acoustic and electric guitars. it's just warm and easy to control.The only thing that comes close to my bottle slide is a slide that I made out of a brass 20mm F-15 shell. .Great slide! I just recently made the switch from brass to glass and of course this blues bottle was my first choice. It brings a warmer tone from your strings than brass or even some ceramic slides I have heard played. Good control with this slide as well. Buy one you won't be disappointed!

.I had heard all they hype about how warm glass slides were supposed to sound, so I bought this. I don't have a resonator guitar, so quite possibly, this could be a wonderful slide on the proper guitar. As for my Chaylor 314ce and Martin D-28 though, the tone was horrid. There was more added string noise than any slide I have used before. Resonator cat, give it a shot, but as far as steel string acoustics go, I must give this a thumbs down. Good luck breaking it though, its durable.

.I bought this slide because it's similar to the coricidin bottles that Gary Rossington and Duane Allman used. It gives a noticeably fatter tone and it's much less harsh than my old steel slide. Plays smooth and seems to require less muting with your other fingers than previous slides I've used.
