These picks are the best in every way. The tone is so good you won't believe that a pick can actually affect your sound this much. It takes a little getting used to the size at first but then they become like part of your hand - seamless, effortless picking. It's hard to describe what they do for your tone besides making it fuller, warmer and more articulate. There's a reason Eric Johnson uses these things. They're simply the best I've ever found in 30+ years of playing. I used to use Tortex or derlin .88mm or 1mm picks and score them with a razor blade for grip then file them to a point to give me beter articulation and sharper attack, but these lil buggers really upped the game. They stay in your grip easily and don't move even if you sweat a lot. The tip slips off of the strings like buttah! Give these lil marvels a try, whatta ya got to lose? Triplet picking at 220 BPM? Got that.

.After using a variety of picks, I decided to get these. I really loved the texture of the max grip picks, but I loved the shape and compactness of the Jazz III. Found out that the best of both worlds existed in this pick. Alas, the search for a perfect pick has ended for me. Now I never have to worry about a pick slipping through my sweaty fingers during a set.

These are great all-around picks, but they really excel in lead/solo work, where a lot of alternate picking, sweep picking, and string skipping happen.

.I have been using Jazz III pickups for 25 - 30 years. I like these as much as any, but the gripping area causes the pick to rotate more than the other Jazz III models (original and Eric Johnson).
All other properties are the same.
I find it virtually impossible to use any large or other material picks since I've been using these.

.Finally Jim Dunlop made the perfect pick. This pick does not slip at all. Not great for strumming on acoustic guitars because of the grip catching on the strings, but wonderful for solo work, and electric guitars.

.I've been trying to thicken up my strat while taming the icepick highs that my Mesa Express 5:25 produced. Without using extra pedals or speaker change, I found my solution. This pick does what I wanted. It definitely thickened my sound while taming the icepick highs thanks to the nylon contruction. For the reference, I used to use Tortex standard .88 before I used Nylon Jazz III max grip. I hope this would help your decision making. Good luck!

.I love these things. I noticed my wrist doesn't get as tired using these. I dont have to get a death grip on them to keep them in my hand. I love Jazz III's anyway...a notable improvement on an already great pick. If your playing fast...or technical music...or you just want to save a little wrist fatigue...cant go wrong with this one. The pictures dont do the grippy things just either...these things grip!

.I've been using the red jazz III for some years now. This new version with the max-grip makes it even better. Even the more expensive hand-made picks like Wegen and Red bear, really don't compare to the Jazz III red, and the max-grip now takes it to a new level. Way to go dunlop!!

.I recently purchased these picks online just because I was looking for something to fill up my shopping cart for a discount coupon. But I'm someone who is always looking for new picks to try out. These picks gave me a whole new sound with my old, heavy-stringed Yamaha guitar. It almost makes it seem like I'm playing a nylon-string guitar. If you are looking for a pick to use with heavier-gauge strings and would like to have more control over playing individual notes (for arpeggios and such,) it's a great pick!

.I've been using Jazz 111's for a long time. The extra grip appealed to me, but I've found the "grip" part catches on the strings, especially when using upstrokes. Might be a technical flaw in my playing but these just don't work for me.

.I'm 65yrs old and have problems holding the pick. This is smaller and gives me more control wíth the grip part keeping the pick from turning between my thumb and finger.
