I currently use this for mounting my 14" tom, my 21" ride, and my 18" crash. It does not fall over, shake, or even move. As the title says sturdy is an understatement. I have this, a mapex double tom stand that also holds my 16" crash. 2 cymbal stands holds all cymbals and 3 toms. I keep it simple. Quick set up and quick breakdown. The only negative is in order to save time I don't break the stand down. If it can fit through the door, it stays in tact is my motto. It can be rather bulky in this case.Yamaha 900 Series Tom Stand
