I was resting an Eastman french horn and the string I had kept breaking because it was thinner that what was on the horn. I bought the French Horn string (which is must heavier that what I had) and there was no more breaking string.Thank you for handling this fabulous product.
Yamaha French Horn String
.This thread is of good quality, strong weave. The problem I had is that it is too thick to get thru the holes on my horn valve keys. The string broke on one of my keys and I when I went to use this string, I was pretty surprised that the thread diameter was too large to go thru the holes of the key, (and yes, I tried every trick). My horn is an older one so I don't know if newer horn valves have larger holes bored in the keys.
Thankfully one of my french horn geek friends had some of the smaller diameter thread that I could use to repair my horn.
So just a warning, this is a good quality product but it might not work for every brand of french horn.
