I'm 14 years old, been playing trumpet for 4 years. I upgraded to this from a bach 5c. This mouthpiece has an overall warmer tone. Another thing I noticed was how easy it was to play for long periods of time. It's hard to explain, it just feels softer on your lips. I recommend this mouthpiece to anyone who wants a warmer tone and better playability.Yamaha Heavyweight Series Trumpet Mouthpiece with Gold-Plated Rim and Cup 16C4
.I first tried out this mouthpiece on a Xeno I was considering purchasing as a horn upgrade and I was very pleased with it's feel and the superior tone it created. Than I tried it out with the horn I ended up buying, CONN VINTAGE 1, The mouthpeice beautifully accents the tone of my sterling silver bell. It's amazing! This is a great M/P and well worth the price!

.I recieved the TR16C4-GPR model with my Xeno trumpet, and was very displeased with the performace. The mouthpiece I got, was extremely large, that coupled with the Xeno's large bore, made aire regulation extremely difficult. By the time I was finished playing a piece I would be out of breath. The only plus is the shape, and materials used provide a deep, rich, tone. But, at a price. I would either recomend a smaller mouthpiece, or a different one altogether.
