Product Features

The PCY135 13" electronic cymbal pad consists of three separate zones: an edge zone; a bow zone; and a cup zone. This enables the pad to recreate the unique sounds that are produced when you hit different parts of a cymbal.

The pad responds accurately to subtle differences in dynamics during performance and can faithfully reproduce delicate cymbal playing, powerful hits, and choking

Cymbal swinging and stick bouncing are also reproduced realistically, so that the pad feels natural even for drummers who normally perform on acoustic drums. Using this pad for cymbal performance training will also bring excellent results.

Like all E-drum cymbals. the triggers can't pick up fast enough a roll on the cymbal. Instead of a sizzle sound, you get a cha-cha sound, when doing a roll on the cymbal. I'm not trying to bad mouth . I love the DTX series drums. I own one. I love the toms, kick, & snares. It just all E-cymbals are not up to par. Maybe in 5 -10 they all will be . To fix my problem, I went out and bought real cymbals, to replace the E-cymbals.
Well Made-durable cymbal pad
Like all products, priced a little high

.I use the PCY135 and 155's with a Roland module as 2 zone cymbals. They work fine if you swap the bow and edge sounds. With a mod' they will also work with all 3 zones for half the price of the Roland equivalents. My only wish is for a larger bell area. The bell triggering is actually a little better than Roland's pies - maybe due to the smaller size bell (?).
