This is probably the best bang for your buck from . The intonation is spot on, it has a nice crisp tone to it, and I have had no problems with clogging. I purchased a few inexpensive Soprano recorders to try out, and by far I like this one best. I am re-learning the recorder, so I am by no means an authority. But, having played this and the cheaper YRS-23, this one is far superior. .This may not be an exceptionally fine instrument, but far more quality than you would expect at this price. It has much better intonation and tone quality than the other plastic recorders, and comes with a nicer heavy vinyl case.
