This is a great 'all solid'* classical. I mainly play finger style on steel, ..and usually on a USA Ovation, ..but I started out on a classical for the first 9 out of 35 yrs that I've been playing. I donated my old CG-180 4-5 yrs ago, but recently I've been missing having a classical. I always wanted an all solid wood classical, so I decided to go with a since I had a comfort level having had others in the past. I had a bad experience with the NTX electric classical and that almost influenced my decision on buying this more 'traditional' classical by . I'm glad I went ahead and bought this GC -32C. It has nice volume with plenty of resonance, zing and fire. I got the cedar one. I did feel that the saddle was a bit too low, but less expensive classicals sometimes have higher saddles. I did experience a slight annoying buzz on the 5th string when I thumb it playing the 2nd fret specifically. I may just have the nut replaced. No big deal. The only thing that really disappointed me was the cheap act of glueing on the headstock and the heel, like you see on Epiphone Les Pauls. I expect to see that on a Martin or a Taylor in this price range, but not on a Japanese import in that range. Also, there is no picture of the BACK to reveal that to the consumer and no info regarding this on the website. So, that's a 'cover up' they don't want anyone to be aware of. So ..be you've been notified! Regardless of that.. I still love love the guitar. I play it nearly every evening. I'm re discovering the classical and remembering why and how it made me a better player. Well, shoot, I guess that alone is worth the price tag, huh? I'm thinking about getting the spruce GC-42.. I don't think it has glued on parts, either.
