I own 3 great tube amps (including a 1966 Fender Vibrolux Reverb)each of which produce amazing tones. I wanted the THR10C for practicing on my patio or at quiet volumes in my house. The tones that the THR10C acheives at very low volumes completely exceeded my expectations. I have never been a fan of solid state modeling amps, but I must say this one sounds great and is fun to play with. The 5 different amp settings provide a wide spectrum of tonal possibilities. I use it for blues and southern rock. You get everything from ultra clean to ZZ Top grit. .I bought this amp over two years ago and it's the amp I use the most while I'm home. A have several tube amps that I use to play live or jam with friends but this little amp that sits on an end table in my living room., gets a lot of use, when I just want to sit on my couch and play. The modeling is great, especially the Class A (Matchless) and the tones you can get from this at bedroom levels is really astounding . Perfect for players who live in apartments or late night playing the amp has a good variety of tones, and has inputs for mp3 and headphone output jacks, also has some onboard effects which aren't the best but keeps me from having to drag out my pedal board...it may be tiny and solid state but it's the best small practice amp I've played.

.this amp is really a great practice tool. small, portable. the tones that come from the different amp models are incredible. really hit a home-run with this one! if you're considering a small practice amp, DO NOT BUY until you actually play your axe through one of these little monsters! Aux input for ipod or phone to jam along with. Headphone jack as well. go and play one!
