I just bought a pair of these SW218V's
to match up with my S115V's. They sound
Incredible ! This gives the band all the low end
power we could ever want. I have a 6 piece band
complete with Keys/Synth/Guitars/Bass/Drums.
The kick drum never sounded better.
These subs move a lot of air around.
You'll need a good crossover, a powerful PA
Head and I highly recommend 12 Gauge Speaker
Cables. Don't forget to have a maneuverable 2
wheel dolly to move them around, or you will
need a good surgeon for a hernia operation.
With Great Low End Sound comes weight, period.
That's just the way it is.
I've had many other makes/models, same design
and folded cabs. I've been a musician for over
30 yrs. These SW218's are the best
Sounding Subs, I have ever owned. I hope they
hold up as well as the rest of my Gear.
Great Job ! Call me, we'll do lunch ;)

.The SW218V Subs are well worth the money. They are built solid. No cabinet vibrations. I use them with a DBX DriveRack PA and a pair of QSC 1850HD amplifiers and bridged. For a professional sound on a budget these subs preform!

.I bought them four years ago and a QSC 5050 amp on them. WOW! They are nothing but the truth
Yamaha SW218V Dual 18" Club Series V Subwoofer Pair
.I have 3 sets of these subs. With the correct cross over setting there as good as most upper end subs. For the money you can't go wrong. 3 - 218 on each side will cover 2 to 3 k people easy on an outdoor venue.

.Got a pair of these about a year ago. Blew one of them the second time I used them. Gopt a free replacement though. I'm powering them with a QSC 1450 bridged. 1400 watts drives them great! Lots of clean deep bottom. Just wish I had another pair for the big shows.

.Kick. These things kick. I am pretty amazed at how hard these subs can go. I run these subs with two Crown XTI 2000 amps in bridged with a dbx driverack PA for the sub synths. You can literally hear the bass from a song from half a mile away. Now, if you don't power these correctly or use crappy amplifiers, you won't get the sound that intended to produce. However, power them correctly and you're golden and can push some air around. great product. heavy though...

.Ok where do I begin. For starters I was on Custom Guitar's Friends,Sam Ash,Guitar center,ETC looking at subs and reading I don't know how many reviews on all kinds of differnt subs and decided to go with these 's bc of money of course.Me and the guy's love them we have been with out subs for quit sometime and when we got to the gig and hook the PA up and tryed the kick drum boy did it thump (useing a AKG D112 kick mic)I run each sub with it's own power amp. They each have a 1400 watts power amp running them and they sound great at that wattage (can't wait till I have more watts for them)Now we ain't know big band that plays the big big shows,we play good size clubs and bars and small venues so if we get on to even bigger and better gig's hope we get the same results.Well I hope I have been some help to everyone that reads this.Bottom line is guys get these subs use good amps a good kick mic and the right wattage and you will not be disappointed. Thanks for these good subs

.These SW218V's are great for the price, they can compare to upper-end subwoofers that can cost twice as much. When powered between 1300-1500 watts per sub, they will blow your socks off... "do not under power them" the distortion will fry your amp and your subs... Great Buy!!!
