Product Features

The RS502T represents the purest expression of the Revstar design concept. Balanced perfectly on the point where familiarity and uniqueness coincide, the RS502T is everything you hope it’ll be, with custom-built hardware, the unique Revstar shape, and a tone that inspires. Includes gig bag.
Pickups
Designed from the ground up, Revstar features specially wound YGD pickups that are perfectly matched to each guitar. More than 50 prototype pickups were tested featuring different combinations of wire, windings, magnets and base plates. Eventually, a spec was settled on for each guitar model and the Revstar pickup series was born. This model features VP5 pickups (8.3k DCR) with Alnico V magnets, German silver baseplate and plain enamel wire for clear, vintage tone with bite.

Dry Switch
Designed especially for Revstar, 's proprietary Dry Switch gives you the versatility of a coil split, but with a tone that's miles ahead. Using a passive filter circuit painstakingly designed to give the perfect frequency response, the Dry Switch filters out low frequencies to give the punch and clarity of a single coil pickup minus the inevitable hum and hollow tone often associated with split humbucking pickups. And because it's a filter circuit, the Dry Switch works on both humbuckers and P90s for a totally unique, usable tone.

Custom Hardware
Inspired by the stripped-down custom Café Racer motorbikes popularized on the streets of London in the 1960s, Revstar's hardware captures the high-performance, individual character of those bikes with a wide range of totally unique, customized hardware. From the unique pickup covers and raw copper scratchplate on the Revstar Professional, to the totally custom floating aluminum tailpiece on the RS502T, each and every component is perfectly calibrated for great performance and unmistakable style—capturing the very essence of a Café Racer.

Sound Image
Inspired by raw power and performance, Revstar's sound is as unique and bold as its aesthetic. Working to evoke a visceral, unbridled power and an individual, organic tone that is made possible only by considering every detail, 's engineers chose materials carefully and designed custom pickups to make sure Revstar sounds as stunning as it looks.

Two things really surprised me about this guitar - quality/feel and sound. I'll start with the sound. It is loud, if not louder, as a really good Les Paul with humbuckers. It resonates like crazy and just sounds like a much more expensive instrument. Not sure if it's just mine, or they are all like that, but I was blown away when I first plugged it in. I have a couple of high-end guitars and sound-wise, this one is nothing short of awesome.

It also feels like a more expensive instrument. The neck is just perfect for me. A little fatter than slim taper, but veery comfy. Probably one of my favorites. Fretwork is meticulous, this guitar required no set up, other than adjusting the bridge height to my liking. Pickups are simply amazing. Probably the best P90s I've heard. They can be sweet and fat, or bark aggressively, depending on your playing style and amp settings.

Dry switch is basically a high pass filter. I could do without it.

Now to the bad. There isn't much, but still:

- The A sound on the 2nd fret on the G string is a little higher. Something I see on many guitars. Some nut adjustment should sort it.
- The knobs are a little loose and therefore easy to turn by accident.

Other than that, it is an amazing guitar. Feels premium and sounds premium. It can take on any premium guitar with P90s in a blind test no problem and is a real fun to play. I highly recommend it!

Oh - the gig bag is OK too, really.

.I like everything about this guitar. Simple, elegant, great value. This particular one looks the coolest to me because of the tailpiece.

.This guitar haunted me for about a year before I finally took the plunge. This guitar is plain sick. I'm a constant gigging musician in two tribute bands. My gear is key in all that I do. I need sound, tone, and reliability for 3-4 sets. This Rev can easily be a main guitar and it can do anything. The feel immediately took to my body. Play in alternate tunings and expect it to stay in tune? Done. The Dry Switch is absolutely superb when it comes to clean tones. has really outdone themselves here. I've waited YEARS for a guitar like this. And man is this think sleek! You won't be let down.

.I bought this to add to my collection.I love the color.Green/Tan with brushed satin controls,WOW!When I get it,it's a total disapointment. It's more black than green, and the reflection on the body in the pictures show an angle cut into the body where your picking arm goes. That's only a reflection, which I wish they mentioned. So disapointed in the color,I don't play it.Total disapointment.
