I bought this to use with my new Heck Rack II. It integrates really well with it. It fits into all of the standard clamps and openings and it has the same finish, plus the price is very good compared to other companies. The one thing that is really nice is it has a two stage rise which allows you to make it really short or really long.It also has the ability to store the arm inside the tube if you don't need the arm extension. On my setup I purchased mostly the medium length version and I have found that shorter version would have been better for some of my cymbals. The stand comes with memory locks. I haven't experienced any slippage with this. This stand is definately the way to go if you buy the Hex Rack. The only negatives are it doesn't have the infinite cymbal tilt adjustment like the Pearl and TAMA have (it has teeth) but I don't really miss that feature. Second, it has a standard wing nut on the top and you need to tighten it down. I had one fly off while playing it. The felts are also very thick so it didn't work well with my 8" inch splash (muffled it too much) so I am going to get a thinner felt for that stand.

.Being a part time fill in musician playing Bass or Drums when called on. Bought a set of birch. This was the perfect Cymbal arm for the center hole of the Bass Drum tom tom holder (has three holes for mounts). Plus it matches the set! Have a 14" dak crash in this location and it is stable! It is great quality and worth every penny. If this is the application you are looking for it is excellent!

.It worked out great because I had another holder off of my bass drum and it slipped right in between my toms which makes one less stand.

Yamaha Short Boom Cymbal Stand Arm
.I've used many different hardware brands, tops 'em all. There's a precision in manufacturing that translates to the easiest, most ergonomic cymbal stands and booms I've ever used. Call it integrity. Beautiful design too. This short boom arm attached to the tom mount allows me to bring one less full cymbal stand in my hardware bag, keeping my load just a little lighter.
