This is a great vibraphone for the price, it's less then other comparable vibraphones. The frame is streamlined, sturdy and well balanced, not top heavy. It comes apart into 6 pieces that will fit into the back seat of my Carolla Sedan. It's easiest to assemble and disassemble upside down on a blanket, takes 5-10 minutes, like a small drum set. The tone is clear over the range of the instrument and very responsive. .I've been playing vibraphones for fifty years and added the 520 recently to my collection of instruments. I'm very impressed with it's quality and portability. It compares favorably with instruments costing much more and is ideal for certain performance venues where space is limited, also a good instrument for teaching. I would recommend it for students, teachers and gigging professionals who need a quality instrument that sounds great in small spaces.
