Never had an acoustic so decided to try one that would not break the bank. I have been a Fender and Gibson guy for a lot of years but the comments about the Fender acoustics were not great so I decided to try this bad boy.It is not a concert instrument but I can't put it down, it is fun to play has a very good sound and tone both with and without the amp. For the price hit it out of the park.

.This is the first new acoustic guitar I have ever purchased. I own mostly electrics (Gibsons and one Fender) so I am accustomed to fast action and perfect string height. When this one arrived two days ago the bridge was way too high.
Is this normal? I had to detach the strings from the body, remove that plastic strip that supports the strings, file off about 1/8 inch and then put it all back together. I almost filed off too much. But the string height is now just right and it has the playability of an expensive guitar.
I am not a very good guitarist and never will be, so that is why a fancy guitar is out of the question. I feel the APX 500 gives me great value. The satin neck is slick and smooth. The finish is just amazing. I love the shape and size of this box. Slim. Best of all, the built in tuner is handy and very accurate. I am a tuning fanatic and have never found a tuner this good.
I was not expecting the sound and tone of a high priced guitar, and did not get it either. Played through my very versatile Vox tube amp, the sound is ok. But for me I made the perfect choice for the money. I recommend it for casual players like me.

.I'm learning to play guitar and I was looking for a thinline ( I'm small so I like the fact that it's thinner than other guitars ) and came across this one , which I love ! I love that it had a built in tuner and a pick up in it . I got this in a vintage sunburst and it looks amazing ! There is another similar to this that's a little smaller in size but this one was the bigger of the two and I wanted a full size guitar . I get so many compliments on it . I'm so happy with my guitar !

.Bought this from a local store (not Custom GuitarsFriend), and it is a great guitar. I sold a dreadnaught to get this one as it was not comfortable to play. The APX500III is a very comfortable guitar to play. I have a hard time deciding whether to play it or my Strat. It stays in tune well, and sounds great to me either unplugged or playing through a Peavey Vypyr 3 VIP acoustic amp model. I would definitely buy this guitar again.

.Not a bad guitar, would be great for sitting around the campfire and playing. The electronics on this guitar are really good. It sounds good on an amp and the tuner is easy to use. Well made and looks good. Would be a good student or beginners guitar.

.I already have the APX 100 and the recently released APXT2 both are 3/4 size versions of this amazing guitar! Due to their size, their sound falls short of this beauty but they make great travel guitars. The APX 500III is for the stage with die-cast tuners and smaller body size than a bulky Dreadnaught. I bought it as a level 3 open box item: there was a chunk off the top like someone had scraped a ceiling. I took a black Sharpie and covered it up saving over 1/3 off the price of the guitar: my Moana Bleu-burst beauty!!!!!
