World-class concert grand piano sound with Pure CF sampling
The Pure CF Sound Engine is the result of years of piano-making history combined with state-of-the-art sampling technology and piano expertise. is the industry leader in digital piano technology, and you can hear this in the Voices that utilize the Pure CF piano sample. The sound of the renowned CFIIIS 9' concert grand piano is faithfully reproduced, allowing for incredible dynamics and expressiveness, making the DGX-660 worthy of the name.

Authentic piano touch, 88-note weighted GHS keyboard
The Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard features a weighted action with heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high end, just like the hammers inside an acoustic piano. Great for the aspiring pianist, practicing on the GHS action builds the proper finger technique and strength for when the time comes to perform on an acoustic piano.

A truer sound with Damper Resonance
Damper Resonance digitally reproduces the sympathetic vibration between strings on acoustic pianos. Just like an acoustic piano, when the damper pedal is used in a performance, other strings add sonic color to the notes you play until the pedal is released.

Easy-to-read score and lyric display
The crystal-clear LCD can be switched to score or lyric display, showing you notation for any MIDI song that the DGX-660 is playing. Read the music for your favorite built-in songs, or follow along with songs downloaded to a USB device from MusicSoft. Even see the score for songs you've created yourself on the DGX-660.

Sound like a pro
Smart Chord makes you sound like a professional pianist, even if you're just learning how to play. Accompaniment Styles create the rest of your virtual band so you can get straight to playing music.
Style Recommender - Choose styles the easy way

I started in 1981 with my first keyboard, and have had more s, Roland, Ensoniq and Korg, not to mention various MIDI modules, this one now is number 9 and in my opinion the best and a great price. Do get the LP-7 pedal unit to go with it. I know you can spend a lot more on fancier models but this one does all I need and did I say the price was right?

.My wife and I are part of a gospel group in which she is our accompanist. We purchased a YPG 625 over 10 years ago in which we used it while performing at numerous church functions and rest homes in our area. After 10 years of hard use, the keys are starting to fail so we decided to replace the unit with the new DGX 660. It appears that we have made an excellent choice but we have not had it long enough for a real test, but at this time it looks very positive.

.I once had an expensive Roland digital piano that had great feel and sound, but this keyboard equals the Roland in sound, ,feel and functionality with a price tag that is a fraction of what I paid for the Roland.

I compose and record music and this keyboard has an abundance of various sounds, voices and features that will enhance what I am doing. I am excited about the possibilities and look forward to exploring and creating on this.

.The price on this piano is remarkable given all the sounds, styles, and features. My wife loves and I have been enjoying it too.

.I'm a jazz trumpet player, but have owned several PSR keyboards through the last 30 years and even a Korg M1 in the late 90s. I've always used keyboards to play around on, like listen to harmonies, lay down ideas in the sequencer. But now I want to become more of a "real" keyboard/piano player. The DGX-660 is exactly what I wanted - Weighted keys, excellent sounds, and even a little sequencer. I also love the line-in and mic-in features. This is really an awesome package for my purposes. Probably a little heavy to take to gigs and it's not built like a tank that always-gigging players require because of all the plastic (my opinion). This is one of the ultimate do-it-all keyboards for the home however. I wish it had standard midi in/out and perhaps even a left/right outputs, too, allowing output to a mixer while at the same time utilizing the on-board speakers. Oh-well, I still love it. Because of the weighted keys and overall weight and girthy-ness, this keyboard feels and plays like a real musical instrument - better than my lightweight, plastic-y keyboards in the past.

.If this Electronic Piano had a video output it would be a nearly ideal Piano for almost any home user. It is too heavy to be easily moved around but, when running it through quality headphones or a keyboard amp, the sound is excellent and can be tailored to suit almost any taste in simulating a Grand Piano. I have yet to sample all the other instruments, but there is a fair-sized collection. The Church Organ is quite good. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase.

.I have bought this series for the last 15 years! Each keyboard has been a thrill to own. My first had only 64 polyphony. But even at that time this was considered a tremendous amount of voices! This keyboard has 198 polyphony! This is the first question I ask whenever considering to buy a electronic digital keyboard. You would be surprised how many professional sales people don't even know what polyphony even means! I happen to buy the white model and that one looks very classy!
Yamaha DGX660 88-key Portable Grand Black
.This device creates the most realistic piano sounds of any device that I've ever heard. That was my main reason for purchasing the keyboard. the additional features are many and are well-worth the investment.
