The guitar is amazing for the price, but I was given a guitar with scuffed knobs and with a chipped edge where the body and neck meet. great guitar, but I probably could've gotten it cheaper if I had known these imperfections were on it

.First off it was packed extremely well! Did some tuning then jammed! Neck feels great Frets are smooth
Pickups have some punch to them! I would say they sound about as good as my Wolfgang Pickups on my
EVH. I was just so surprised I got such a good guitar for such a low price. The Floyd Rose is Licensed by
Jackson, Not a original but a good one none the less plus it has a recessed cavity so you dive or pull up.

.Been looking for another workhorse to go along with MIJ dk-2 guitars. This one is every bit as good. Pickups are bearcats made for jackson. Bridge-15.5 k Neck- 8.6 k. They are not duncans, but are suprisingly good. They sound decent, and offer a nice quack with neck pup reversed. Pots are miniture alpha units.- not bad. Cavities are sheild painted and wireing is neat. The floyd is branded jackson. There is a W in a circle on the bottom plate- Maybe 'WD" built? The neck and fret work is PERFECT. I did tighten it a bit and got action LOW. This came new in the box and was playable but you might want to set it up to individual preference.
This guitar is supposed to be Basswood, BUT when I inspected neck pocket it looks to be Mahogany. So keep in mind you might get anything.
Unplugged it sounds very loud and resonant with acoustic properties. The maple neck on a mahogany body is intresting and I like it. The snow white paint is flawless. The neck is tite with a very narrow gap between body and neck. Perfectly fine at this price point. The tuners seem a tad smaller than the old satin tuners on old dk-2 guitars, and have a diffrent ratio.

Comes with whammy bar, 3 allens, and manual card.
I will gig with this guitar. Excellent product.

The maple fretboard is smooth and fast. Lightweight body adds an awesome feel. Stays in tune.
Only problems I encountered were some buzzing on the low E and the whammy comes loose after some use.

.I own 20+ guitars and have extensive experience playing and working on all kinds of instruments and musical electronics.
Let me state unequivocally that I completely understand that is not, nor will it ever be, on par with a Pro or X series. I am also not trying convince anyone otherwise. BUT, it is an extremely viable option for those people who are aren't ready and/or able to drop 500 to 800 on an axe of that caliber.
I purchased this guitar as a level 3 scratch and dent item (for a third of the price, btw.) Knowing this up front I expected some cosmetic flaws and maybe a few minor dents/dings. Even after arriving in a single box and covered only in bubble wrap (prior purchases came in a box inside a box), I was pleasantly surprised to see it only had one brownish, knot spot on the neck and a minor nick in the white binding on the tip of the head stock. Surprised, indeed.
However, after plugging it, the ice cream turned into doo-doo. Each and every fret buzzed, it sounded muddy as all get out, and I could almost fit a half of a stack of playing cards between the strings and the neck.
My next inclination was to box it back up and return it immediately. But, after giving it some extended consideration, I decided to see if I could make it play and sound as good as it looked.

After about three hours of work (removing the bridge and trem springs dozens of times while adjusting the action and neck) I finally got the strings to a point where it was playable to me and lo and behold-the fret buzz was gone as was the muddy tone of the pickups. I was now impressed and pleasantly satisfied- especially at this price point.

Again, I do want to emphasize that it is in NO WAY on par with it's much more expensive and well made (and much better quality controlled cousins) the Pro and X series. But, it does sound good, has an extremely easy neck to play, stays in tune, and looks amazing.

With the work I put in and the price-it is a 5 star instrument. Without, its a 3.

.It's an awesome guitar but the reason I rated it at 3 stars is because of the condition it came in. There was a lot of blemishes and scratches. The frets were poorly done and paint was smeared on the headstock from the neck. I called up mf and I got to send it back to get a new one. Overall an amazing guitar.
