Overall this is a great guitar for this price and you get a floyd rose and active emg pickups I feel like I stole this guitar. its neck through looks just like a USA KV 2 for half the price. I highly recomend checking this out you wont regret it..
dont hesitate buy this you will not be dissapointed
overall smooth finish shiny around the logo looks like it could be smoother like there could have been more clear coat on it.. but this is not major.. this guitar gets a lot of compliments.. most people cannot distinguish between this and a USA model great job on Jackson part on this new X series.
This is a steal for this price only drawback is it should come with a case. you have to get a jackson or SKB with this guitars shape a gig bag would be a bad desicion.

.This is a great guitar. When I first recieved the guitar, its factory setup was way off. The truss rod was too tight which had the neck arched back and the tremolo was way out of adjustment. These things didnt bother me because I do all of my own work, customizing, and adjustments, but thought I would include it in my review just so you would know to possibly expect that. But dont let that discourage you from getting one of these bad boys. A few simple adjustments, and I was ready to rock. This guitar is awesome. It has a very clean defined sound, very bright and solid. I love the EMG 81/85 combination,I believe they are the best pickups for rock and metal. The tremolo is very responsive, feels tough, and the tuning stays very stable. The neck is thin and fast, very comfortable for both chords and soloing. The transition between the neck and body is really nice and sculpted to give you effortless reach to all 24 frets. It feels much like the wizard neck on my Ibanez RG 570. The guitar has a good weght and feel to it, making it enjoyable to play for hours on end. I got the Kawasabi Green, it looks killer and gets alot of compliments. If you're looking for a killer neck through guitar without spending a butt load of cash, this is it.

.I currently play Ibanez VBT 700 guitars and like them a lot but they are fixed bridge. Thats why I got this guitar...for the neck thru and floyd rose. I like the neck a lot and it came with strap locks ( a nice bonus) but i didn't like where the rear strap mounted or where the pickup selector was located. The trem bar gets in the way of quick pickup changes. Got rid of the blade style selector, replaced the tone control with a gibson style pickup selector, and moved the rear strap button to how where it was on my Ibanez. I am very happy with it now. I don't really like active pickups and was not that happy with the pickups through my practice amp but it really seemed to cut through when playing with my band. We play extreme metal with two guitars and a keyboard player with 2 keyboards...a lot of midrange. I have the black and white ibanez vbts and started with the black kvxmg....liked it a lot and decided to get the white one for our other tuning. The black one is exactly what I expected in terms of finish but the white one looks almost creme colored compared to my Ibanez. I was very let down and decided to write this review in case someone was thinking about getting white and expecting it to look like it does in the pictures. Im not sure about how setup is from factory because I change string gauges and do a setup on all my guitars when I first get them. After a setup the trem works the way it is supposed to. Hope that helps someone

.Great guitar at a great price. My band mate has a USA King V and the X series plays exactly the same (he and I both agree on this). The only differences are cosmetic. The only flaws are that there is some slight fret buzz and minor flaws in the binding. Buy one, you won't be disappointed.
