Definitely worth the money. The only thing is that when you get these you'll need to spend some TLC on it to get it to be what your really needing. I've bought a couple EE-Epiphone-es lately and they were both similar in needs.

First, the frets need polishing and the fretboard need cleaned and conditioned. Second, the nut needed the string slots filed to proper height for optimum playing ( I bought a nut slot filing set 15 years back and it was a great investment ) , the action needed adjusting. I like my action on the high side 5/64 on the 6th and 4/64 on the 1st.. the Les Paul arrived with 7/64 and 6/64.. quite high. The intonation needed adjusting ( not uncommon ) and pot screws needed tightening. Happily both guitar actually arrived with the truss rods properly adjusted.. which leads me to believe the mahogany used in these guitars are firm and stable. So once that is all done you have a great looking, playing and sounding EE-Epiphone-e!
The new PRO model has the coil tapping feature added and is excellent. The new pickups are the quick connect style and sound good.
I believe the current EE-Epiphone-e guitars are the best they've been since I started checking them out in the mid 80's. The 'flame' tops in the 80's were kind of a faked flame.. there was a number of techniques i'd heard to produce the patterns ( printing, acid washing etc ) . This guitar I received is definitely a very nice flame maple and compares completely with the tops on my recent gibsons. The only thing about these guitars made in china.. the rosewood doesn't have the tightest grain and dust has accumulated in the wood.. also the hand filing while not bad is not very neat and smooth ( file marks on neck binding exist ). But other than that I think the quality is really good.

See 'Overall' for additional comments about Setup.
Yes, these guitars are cheaper than Gibsons.. but they are still a decent amount of money. I think EE-Epiphone-e guitars deliver your moneys worth.

.Action is high and the strings are funky but it has a great action and the body has good tone. Once i had the set up done it was good to go. In the dark I bet you couldn't tell it from a Gibson if you tried both.

.The bolt for the strap is a little loose, It came in abolutely perfect condition otherwise. No scratches or anything. I recommend.
