Being a Fishman Loudbox 100 user, and now moving to the ToneDEQ, it's like having having the Loudbox 100 there beside you, plugged in DI to the PA. The separate chorus and reverb are very we'll set up, and the compression is flawless. The tone controls set at 12noon are almost perfect with little twitching required for a full sound. Add in an Aphex to the signal chain, and it's a full house. I use a Godin Nylon string Multiac with the Fishman pre and pickup system, and it's amazing.
Highly recommended. Well done Fishman, I'd be your Australian Sales Rep anytime!

.This is the cleanest, most accurate, mutli-effects I've heard. My playing partner used one a year before I bought my own. He made me aware that many processors color the tone even when you have no effects or EQ in use. I've tested several makes and models and this is very true of very popular effects and DI's. So after testing, we both found the sound natural and not processed sounding. In comparison, other digital processors seem to completely disintegrate the tone and then put it back together; resulting in a loss of important tonal nuances. Then when you start EQ'ing or adding effects, it sounded like a lot of the sparkle was lost and now you're trying to add effects to get it back.

The Tonedeq preserves these nuances and allows you to add effects which are simply "just right". The effects are easy to dial in and as stated are just the right type and adjustability to be creative and maintain a nice acoustic sound. In addition, there is no perceived latency when switching them on and off. I've noticed this on another processor I have.

I've used this on various pickups and guitars; a Taylor T5 (main use), Taylor with LR Baggs Anthem, and a Nylon with Fishman UST. It worked great with all three. My main use is with the T5 as I bounce around tonally; playing various styles and genres during gigs. The Tonedeq allows me to achieve clean electric sounds I need, but really increased the acoustic ability of the instrument.

I purchased the Tonedeq to use primarily as a preamp for performing fingerstyle acoustic guitar. The main concern was how the preamp section would "color" the sound. I was looking for a preamp that would be as neutral as possible. After doing an A/B test, it is very difficult to discern any difference in tone between the raw guitar signal and running through the Tonedeq with no effects and the tone controls set to null. This is what I was looking for! The effects have great tone and are very useful. The boost works very well also. So far I am very happy with this unit. It will run down a rechargeable 9v lithium battery in about 3-4 hours. I haven't utilized the compressor yet, but judging from the usefulness of the other sections this also should be well done. The only drawback that I found was that the XLR out bypasses the main volume control.

.i really wanted this piece of gear to work and sound awesome but am totally disappointed ~ loud hum in post mode and effects not in stereo ~ ac adapter would not fit properly into the unit ~ would only power up on battery mode ~ fishman makes some awesome stuff but this one doesn't deserve to carry the name ~ returned and looking for something that i can really use

.I bought this product to use with a new, high-end Martin guitar that's equipped with the Aura system, and found it to be, frankly, overkill. But, instead of returning it, I tried it with my piezo-equipped Fender Robert Schmidt electric mandolin.

What this preamp did for my pickup is nothing short of amazing. I've gotten by with cheap, battery-powered preamps my entire career, and it was a big leap to drop this much money on one, but I am SO happy I did. Effects; awesome, EQ; very helpful, I/O; complete, Sound Quality; stellar.

You know, it's not often you use tremolo with an acoustic instrument, but, with mandolin, it's a great touch. And the inclusion of tremolo on this product had me scratching my head, BUT, when I ran the mando through it, it was a beautiful thing. Compression, nice reverbs, and great I/O capabilities/impedance matching, plus, yeah, it's the classiest-looking pedal in the world.

I highly recommend this unit if you have a weak pickup, 'cause this'll get you where you wanna go.

One con: At this price, the AC adaptor should be included. Make sure you order one!

.I am a worship leader at a local church. I serve a lot and play a Taylor 814. The box offers compression, EQ and preamp with boost along with other effects. I'm very happy with it and it's ease of use .
Fishman ToneDEQ Acoustic Guitar Preamp EQ
.I bought one of these because i wanted a more mobile acoustic preamp and this delivers even more than i thought! now along with using it for acoustic guitar i also put it in front of my AC30 and it's my new Delay/Chorus/Tremolo. i would give it 5 stars if it had a more noticeable flanger effect, but other than that, superb pedal

.I tried several other FX and EQ pedals and was disappointed with the sound quality and/or ease of use. I play strictly acoustic and the Fishman ToneDEQ provided the sound quality I was looking for. It was easy to set up and is easy to use. Nice selection of reverb, delay, chorus, flanger and delay. Easy to dial in the right levels, rates, etc. Same for EQ - 3 sweepable knobs for low, mid and high. My only complaint is that Fishman doesn't include a 9v AC adapter with your purchase. You can also power the unit with a 9v battery but you'll go through batteries in 5-7 hrs. You're better off buying the adapter. Overall, I'm very happy with the ToneDEQ!
