This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1978 Fender Precision Bass.
If you're looking for vintage vibe at a good price, have a look at late 70s and early 80s Fenders. They have steadily increased in price over recent years as players discover these nearly 30 year old instruments. Cool looks and made in the USA Fender quality. This 1978 P-Bass is a great example of the breed and incredibly well taken care. Just purchased from the original owner. The body is ash for good tone. The 34 inch scale maple neck features a maple fretboard with 20 frets. A split coil humbucking pickup delivers great vintage tone. An adjustable bridge and vintage style tuners round out the package. The finish is classic natural which is set off by black plastic. This bass is 99% percent original. The only non-original parts are the bridge and pickup covers. They are brand new and are genuine Fender parts. Everybody takes these off, but I did not like the holes in the pickguard so I popped these on and she is PERFECT! An incredible bass that's been remarkably well preserved!
This P-Bass has great tone and feel. The neck feels excellent and the action is good. The neck is straight and the frets are good. The pickup sounds awesome and all the electronics work as they should.
70's Fender's have been very popular in recent years as they offer great vintage value. A nearly 40 year old instrument at the price of many new guitars. Cool vibe and cool tone. A great instrument for the bucks.

One Owner Bass. Purchased brand new back in 1978 from American Dream Music here in San Diego, CA. USA. The original owner is a "Pro Level" Musician who is primarily a composer and arranger. Has a beautiful large studio, and this bass was used for recording and never left the studio. Really, this was a back up bass if the performers did not bring a bass with them. Consequently there is not much playing time on this bass. A true "Closet Queen"
Cosmetics: Excellent Condition. There is some light to moderate wear on this P-Bass. Keep in mind that this is a 39+ year old vintage bass that has been played. Some light strumming scratches on the pickguard as well as on the front of the body. The back has some belt buckle rash scratches. Neck, Headstock and Fretboard in great shape. Original Fender Orange Felt Hard Shell Case in great shape. All latches work. Very Authentic. Dripping with "Mojo". It is used. Not perfect. Excellent. Condition. Overall, a really nice guitar. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
