You are looking at a excellent vintage piece from Norma Guitars dated 1967. This guitar is made in Japan and is actually of great quality. It sounds pretty awesome - gets great chimey cleans and gets some killer gnarly overdriven tones. The playability is good as well, though it could use some attention on the frets and on the bridge. It's a great sounding and playing guitar, but as these old japanese guitars do not have truss rods, it's hard to get perfect intonation. A modern bridge and tailpiece would likely solve this issue. The gold foil pickups original, of high quality and work perfectly. They are top mounted, however, so it is hard to control pickup height. A shim under the bridge pickup would probably help to balance output. The electronics are are all original as well and work just fine. The slider switches are actually three-way, though only two positions are needed (on-off). Not really sure why they are three-way but apparently this was normal for Norma to do! There is considerable cosmetic wear on the guitar and the only thing that I would say affects the playability is the some missing lacquer on the back of the neck from the 1st fret to about the 4th. This didn't bother me at all, but I figured I would say. Please contact me for more info. This guitar is sold "as is" and returns will not be accepted except in rare events. No wiggle room in price. Thank you for your consideration.
