I purchased this switch to replace the original switch that was cutting out on my Squier Telecaster Affinity. The original one is square & the tabs where you solder the wires are all in line. I Got a wiring diagram off of Seymour Duncan's web sight for a Standard Telecaster. I wired the switch just like it show's on the diagram for the switch but there was a hard ground wire that's coming from the volume & tone pod's that I solder to the frame of the switch.There is a cap on the volume control that is not shown on the diagram, I just left it on.This switch is of better Quality than the one I replaced.

.I installed this in a Strat with a custom pick guard. It works but it was annoying to wire up and did not come with a diagram. If I had known I would have gone with a 3 way toggle Gibson style instead and saved a lot of time stripping and fidgeting with tiny wires,hoping my diagram was correct and making numerous solder connections to bridge the tabs.

Can't wire it up because it did not include a wiring diagram. The ones available online didn't work. Wired up 4 seperate ways over 4 hours following 4 different diagrams and can't get it working properly.Fender way overcomplicated this. The Japanese switches are incredibly easy. Going to have to buy one of those instead

.Bought this to replace inferior switch on my Squier Tele. No wiring diagram but those are readily available online. Just took my time and it works perfectly. I think my Tele now sounds better than ever. Really a good move to replace this switch.
