I use two of these in the neck and middle position of my '94 Strat Plus. In the bridge position I installed a Fender Hot Rod dual coil. These have replaced the Fender Lace Sensors that came with the guitar. The Vintage Noiseless pickups do just what they were designed to do. They preserve the vintage
Strat sound we've come to love but without all the buzz and noise. These are stacked coil pickups, so in essense, they act like humbuckers, canceling the buzz and noise associated with single coil pickups, but still retain the single coil sound. I play a lot of classic rock, and some hard rock. Everything from The Rolling Stones to Led to ACDC. Hence I went with the vintage sound on the neck and middle, and the more hard rock sound on the bridge. Great for recording! Although when I switch the bridge pickup to single coil, it no longer cancels the buzz, but when used together with the middle pickup, some of the buzz is canceled. These pickups are very affordable, sound great and accomplished what I was going for. Not everyone will love these, pickups and their sound is a matter of personal taste. I used a set-up recommended by Fender and a diagram published where two 1meg ohm pots are used for the tone controls, and a 500k ohm pot is used for the volume. If you can solder it's a fairly simple set-up.

.My biggest complaint was that it did not mention what color the pickup was. The picture shows a white pickup. I received an aged white pickup. Luckly I was replacing one that died, so I was able to swap the covers to have it match the rest of my pickups.

I think these sound really good for their price range. There are better sounding pickups but they are going to cost you more. I have owned a lot of these pickups over the years and I have had 3 or 4 of these die on me. The pickup wire actually breaks around the wraps and then the sound from that one pickup is cut to about 10% It is cheaper to buy a replacement than a whole new pickup set of something else, so I keep buying new ones.

Since this was Fenders first attempt at a single coil pickup with no 60 cycle hum, I think they really do sound great. I love the Neck and Middle tones out of my Strats. They sound great clean and they don't get thin or muddy if you crank them through an overdriven amp. Keeping the pickup with 2 wires really keeps it easy to install.

.I had this pickup installed on my Deluxe Nashville Tele (in the center), along with the Seymour Duncan STK-T3 and STK-T1. It is exactly as described; classic fender tone without the noise. I was very skeptical about these at first but now I am a believer. Keep in mind that the Seymour Duncan's are a 4-wire pickup and standard Fender's are 2 so you may have to reconfigure some things if you mix Seymour's with Fender's. You can hear a very slight hum if you crank all the way up and it is totaly silent where you are, but hardly anything to even mention. I highly reccomend these for all vintage and modern guitars. Way better tone than most stock pickups I've used, plus they're noiseless. A winner any way you look at it. Well worth the money. I also like that it comes tinted to look vintage (not bright white like the photo).

.I bought a Strat that was modded with three of these in it. They deliver a gritty distorted tone that I absolutely love, and can switch from a hot bridge position to a more mellow, humbucker like sound in the neck. I definitely would recommend them to anyone looking to hot rod their Strat. HOWEVER, they do not give as good clean tones, in comparison to other single coils.

.p/ups have a lot of character and sound absolutely wonderful through a nice amp/PA or effects proccessor

.I just put a d tuna on my guitar and now I put this noiseless fender pickup (neck). My strat MIM guitar just transformed into a SRV tone guitar. No effects, just straight to a marshall amps WITH distortion. Believe me replaced those MIM pickups you have from that cheap fender strat and you will not regret it.

.these are the best ever. so nice. when i finally got them in i just could not believe it. absolutely no noise. the tone is so crisp and cristal clear. i am kind of wondering if maybe i should have gotten the bridge one instead of a seymour little 59....go buy it right now!!! i highly dought you will find something better

.Great clean fender tone with no hum at all! If you're looking to hear your guitar clearly, these pickups are it. All of them are awesome. I gave a 9 overall, for future creativity.

.I ordered off of here and it arrived three days later. Very satisfied with this website, but Fender needs to have an instruction booklet with its pickups. The diagram that it came with was barely understandable. It looked like instructions were an afterthought and someone just scribbled a diagram on a piece of paper and put it in. That being said, after I installed it in my neck position, it did exactly what it promised. It sounded like a slightly better pickup than stock as far as tone goes, but most importantly, NO NOISE. When I get the money I will definitely order another one for my middle position.

.I wanted to find a more vintage strat sound for my mid position on my strat. I used a clapton strat equipped with these at guitar center and WOW, I am definately buying one for my mid postion. These babies sing. They have that classic strat tone, but with a much more full bass and mid. The tone is clear and bell like, but not piercing like some older or stock strat pickups. Very balanced, very beautiful. I personally prefer a hotter Bridge pickup and a more full, P.A.F/ jazzy-bluesy type sounding neck pickup, but if you're looking for that classic tone all the way around, then go for it. These PUPs sound great in any position.
