3 stars from me....that's right in the middle. The reason for this, is I would NEVER put these on a regular acoustic guitar.
They are in the "higher range" of the tone spectrum. Some may even say a little "tinny". Based on that, I think they are perfect for an Electric-Acoustic (in my opinion, and to my ears).
They came with my recently purchased Fender T-Bucket 300CE...and I was surprised how good they sound plugged and unplugged on that particular guitar...so impressed that I not only kept them on the guitar, but bought another set for back-up strings.
At some point I MAY try something different on the T-Bucket...but right now, I am impressed with the sparkling sound of these.
I like my regular acoustics to have a lower, more mellow sound, so I wouldn't even consider these strings for that....they are just much too bright.
Everyone's ear is different...but if you like your Electric-Acoustic to have a bright tone; I'd go ahead and grab a set. If you're looking for more of a booming low rhythm sound...do NOT get these, because you will not find it with these strings.
As for 'longevity', I personally have only been playing on them for about a month now...but my buddy has used 80/20 Coated Bronze for years now, and says they last forever in structure and tone.

.I have an acoustic guitar - Fender T-bucket - and recently had it restrung - I asked for identical strings, but didn't get them! The guy put on something else and it sounded tinny and awful - plus they were a different gauge. I was very unhappy - but did some research and found out what was on it from the factory - These 880L duracoat 80/20 Bronze strings (light) make all the difference - My guitar plays like a dream again! It was worth the wait while they were on backorder - I will order more than one set next time!

.These strings are wonderful. I had a set of D'addario exp-16's on my Ibanez Artwood and changed to these because I had heard that they were brighter sounding. They definitely are to me. Absolutely love them.

.My new Fender FR-55 metal resonator came with these strings and they are a perfect match. These Fenders have more sustain than other strings that I have tried on my old FR-48 resonator and the coating seems to dampen the sound just enough to eliminate the overly-bright, tinny edge some 80/20s have. Will definitely buy a set when it comes time for new strings.

.Besides my Epiphone DR-100 and Mitchell MD-100 , I own 2 Fender Acoustics, a DG-60 and CD-60CE in Mahogany. Besides liking good tone, I also like to save $$$$ as well. I was using Elixirs on all of my Acoustics but decided since my main Acoustic is a Fender, why not use their strings ? I had heard some good reviews about these and decided to order a set and boy, I'm wasn't let down. I put these on my CD60CE and IMO, these are just as good as the expensive Elixirs but at a fraction of a cost. I'm going to go with just one set for now because I want to see how long a set will last. If these can last at least a month or two without losing any of their tone, then I will definately be buying more of these for my other babies !

.For me the gauges of the individual strings seem well matched to each other which helps with consistent tone
and playing accuracy. Being just a tad lighter than average light strings makes bending more accessible without sacrificing too much stability or thump. Pricing for a coated string is very modest. I have used two sets for just a week, so can only report that for this time frame, they have held up well. The ample high end works well with both my KOA and Mahogany guitars, and the strings don't appear to rob the bass.

.I love these string on my Rogue RA- 090. I just got my first guitar, and these were my first replacements. In comparison to the originals, these sounded like a harp! I would totally get these next time I have to change stings.
