I love this guitar. Very surprising for being a MIM. That's not to say that MIM Strats aren't good guitars but this was outstanding. I say "was" because I had to send it back. Despite the look and sound, I could not get past the neck. I have several Strats. One with a 12" neck and the others with 9". I'm used to a flatter board but I played a 7.25" neck Strat before--a AVRI 65. The neck of the AVRI 65 felt okay. I had no issues. But, this neck just didn't feel right. I couldn't get past it. The AVRI 65 has a mid-60's C neck which must account for the difference. I assumed a mid-60's neck was the same or at least could not be that different from a regular C shape but to me there is a big difference. I wanted to keep the guitar but I couldn't. Personally, the neck just didn't work for me. But, if you're okay with the neck, I highly recommend this guitar. The sunburst paint job is actually better than my MIA Strat and the pickups just sing beautifully and clear. .This is an amazing guitar for the money quality in Mexican made instruments has gone up obviously . the day I bought this I must have played 25 other strats and this blew them all a way . the american standard series looked like a squire next to this thing that is if your looking for a vintage styled strat. Also its finished in nitro which despite what people say it makes a huge difference. The pickups are great but I may change em to ssL1s for a tad more quack in the 2 and 4 positions. The 7.25 board I found easy to get used to took about thirty seconds. I bought mine locally and the first one had a hump on the fret board so had to be returned the new one is flawless and I can't put it down !

.Seriously? For and extra hundred clams I get nitro lacquer and a teed hard case over the standard MIM 60s classic. I was looking at a 59 reissue at over twice the cost, so glad I picked this.The wood grain match on this body is amazing. Fit of neck pocket is off the hook and the set up is right on. I've had several 60s and 50s MIM classics and USA highway 1s. Fender Mexico has really stepped up on this one.
