Jeff Beck wanted a bigger sound and better tonal dynamics than a standard single-coil pickup could deliver, and he got exactly what he was after in the new hotter Noiseless design. Warm and punchy neck pickup tone with a bluesy feel, and a bridge pickup that screams at high gain. The clean tone is clear and very full. These pickups deliver the best definition and sensitivity that has ever graced the Strat.

Designed for Jeff Beck No 60-cycle hum

First of all, someone needs to clarify to the previous posters that compare these to lace sensors or play NIN and skinny puppy.... These are not lace sensors. These are not humbuckers. these are not heavy metal pickups. These pickups were never intended for any of these things. They are the same design as they were in the 50's except quiter and a little warmer. They will never be metal pickups or humbuckers so your reviews aren't really of any value. These pickups articulate and sound much like they did 50 years ago but they have a wider dynamic range. I put them in an alder body stratocaster from the early 90s and they sound much like my 65 original strat, only quieter and a tad stronger. very happy with these pickups. great value at 150 compared to 250 for other brands such as fralin, etc.. try them but either know what you are doing when installing them or have it done. Since hum elimination is the main point of these pickups, a clean solder job is very important and will affect the overall tone.

.Great buy!
I play jazz, blues and R & B. I had to make too many adjustments if I just wanted to take one guitar with me on jobs where I wanted to play different genres of music. Then I put these pickups on! Their warm, full and easy to get to a tone without breaking my neck. This was a great purchase for me. Everyone is looking for something different in tone so I know everyone won't be pleased but I see some are!
great

.I play a dirtier, heavier kind of blues (think AC/DC or Aerosmith). I was looking for more oomph in my playing, so I tried this pup out in the neck position. It answers all of my calls. It has a big, punchy sound that hits you in the face, but it is responsive to picking dynamics (loudness). I love it. I use a Fender Vintage noiseless in the middle, and a DiMarzio Area '61 in the bridge, so I have a very "classic rock"-sounding guitar. If you are looking for a big bluesy sound with no hum, this is your best bet. I ain't got no pickup blues.

.These are by far the best Strat sound I have played yet ! Custom shop 69's are great too but these noiseless are the pure Strat tone hands down. Imagine Hendrix meets Cash and that is what is on tap. Gigged with them last night in a MIM 50's reissue and was killing my lead guitar players standard US Strat as far as tone was concerned. I've read mixed reviews on these p'ups but I have a smile on my face after what they did for my playing. Very happy.

.As you can see, these pickups are getting great reviews, but there are a few things you should know ahead of time. First, the pickup covers are NOT white. They are kind of a cream/tellowish color. The Strat I installed them on has a parchment pickguard, and these are more beige than the parchment is. If color matching is an issue, just know these aren't white. I guess they were going for an aged look. Now, I thought I'd just take the plastic pickup covers from my stock American Series pickups and put them on the Noiseless. Nope. Only the bridge pickup cover will fit. The neck & middle pickup poles are spaced differently than standard Fender pickups. So, you have to keep the beige covers with the "Noiseless" logo, which I also don't care for. There's more - these pickups are almost 1/4" deeper than the stock Fender pickups. On my 2004 Strat, the pickup routes were deep enough, thankfully. However, I have read of others who've needed to route their pickup cavities in order to get these to fit. So be aware of that.OK, those are the "gotchas" to know about.Tonewise, these are very articulate. I haven't played them long enough to say much more, but I expect they will grow on me. The have a lot more going for them that the stock pickups.Incidentally, neck & middle pickup are identical, and the bridge is different from those two.

.As a guitar player of over 30 years, I have been lucky to play thousands of guitars through just as many amps. This offer from fender is just what you would expect from a Company that is trying to re-invent themselves against modern manufactures that, quite frankly, out perform them in every area. My first complaint is, as mentioned earlier, you cant change the color of the covers. Your stuck with what you buy. ( I guess they must think the word "noiseless" is worth this oversight) Second, Dont expect much except a slightly quieter signal. These are not HOT pups.I found them to be thin and uninspiring. You can do 1000% better with a set of Fralins. They were back in the box for return before my guitar stopped sustaining !

.I own a Mexican Fender Strat.....I broke my originals pickups and I am so happy that I replaced them with these. I cannot begin to tell u how much nicer the sound got. I use a Crate Solid-State amp and this is the first time that i have ever heard tones like this out of a solid state. My amp sounds like a tube amp. When you combine the neck and middle pickup you get bells coming out of your speakers. BELLS! These pickups are amazing!

.I have these in an American Ash Strat...very big sound, much more of everything compared to SCN or Vintage. Ceramics have their own voice and sound great with overdrive or hard distortion (much better suited for a Marshall amp than a Fender as they work well with the "brittle" British output valves). Most single coils get a little flabby as the gain increases but these seem to get more full without losing definition and produce a great high-gain solo tone. They also stay together on heavy power chords much like a side-by-side humbucker with a grind that tightens as the volume goes up. Excellent for a raspy blues tone or stadium rock and they produce a very nice, full clean tone. Maybe I got lucky with a good setup, but the dynamics from the low E to high E are very consistent - does not have the typical peaks and valleys like many other pickups. Not something that I would use for a metal sound as they don't "scoop" very well but an excellent pickup. As close to a "do-everything" pickup as I have in my arsenal.

.I dropped a set of these in my "FrankenSquier" for an immediate tonal upgrade. They are noiseless, as advertised, but I find that they are not that "hot". In fact, my American Standard's pickups have more edge.Don't get me wrong, these pickups have a great full sound and nice tone. Just don't expect too much. They are powerful and rich sounding, but more "warm" sounding than "hot". Great blues sound.

.These pickups came on a Fender Highway One Stratocaster that I purchased off craigslist. I've struggled to get the right sound before panicking and spending a ton of dough to replace them. I am in complete agreement with the reviewer who suggested that these pickups need a lot of adjustment until you hit a sweet spot. At the right height you get a nice blues tone with plenty of midrange and some classic Fender single coil sparkle that picks up all the pick scrapes and nuances of your particular picking style. A really beautiful transparent tone that's clear as a glass of water. Frankly, they are not completely noiseless in that sense as they demonstrate a great amount of sensitivity to your pciking. I have found the in-between positions of the neck-middle and middle-bridge to be a little flat with a noticeable drop in volume. And my tone gets a little muddy and woofy when I play through my Way Huge Swollen Pickle fuzz pedal. Any other pedal -analog delay, distortion, wah, for example- and these pickups come through my amp with great clarity and can produce a really pleasing tone that just makes you want to hear more. Direct to a tube amp or a nice solid state like my Roland Blues Cube, and you'll dial in Fender magic. May lose some clarity with some pedals...but then you might be able to say that about any pickup! But at the end of the day, this can be a very temperamental pickup. Beware!
