I have played Fender guitars for nearly twenty years, and they have always been consistent in quality. I recently purchased this MIM Fender guitar (HSS) and it is really an awesome instrument. The color (Artic White) looks very classy and has a mint green pick guard, which makes it even more elegant. The action feels smooth and the fret board feels like silk. The pickups, however, will need an upgrade, in my opinion. The Humbucker sounds really good, but the other single coils are extremely noisy. In my opinion, this guitar will be flawless if the company adds better quality pickups. This can be remedied by replacing the three pickups altogether. I would replace them with a hotter, but noiseless, pickups. In my case, for example, I replaced the Humbucker with the Crunch Lab, the middle with an Area 67, and the neck with an HS3. This small upgrade will turn this guitar into a fine instrument suitable for intermediate, advanced, and professional players, and it will work wonders in both studio and live settings. Overall, I highly recommend this Fender guitar to anyone looking for a best value deal that does not compromise quality, elegance, and charm.I give it a 9 because the pickups need an upgrade. I will give it a 10 if this guitar includes a better quality pickups that are not as noisy
Good quality. The color is exeptional. The action, intonation, fretboard, and sustain are excellent (out of the box), and it plays like silk!!!!!

.I bought this guitar to modify and becaue the transparent red finish is really cool. But, if you're someone looking for a very playable out-of-the-box guitar, I would honestly save my $$ or look at another type of guitar all-together. My collection did consist of all Epiphone LPs which I think are the best bang for the buck guitar on the market. Fenders have a tone all their own which I love. All in all, if you are looking for the sweet Fender tone and feel, go w/ a more expensive, all single coil strat. That's what I'll be doing on my next purchase.
Bridge - From the store, the trem was horrible. Couldn't even do half-step bends w/o having to re-tune. The Fender website has awesome info on setting up your Strat. In using these available instructions and specs, my bridge now has an almost 2-point trem functionality. Pretty cool. Thanks Fender!
Pickups - The middle single-coil is decent and produces a nice Strat tone. Neck p/u is almost too noisy to use and the bucker is very weak. Metal? Not the kind I play. But it does "Buck the Hum" enough to give it some credible tone if you have a decent amp. Having no tone control for the humbucker is a big minus to me.
Tuners - Decent tuners on this guitar. Once I made adjustments to the bridge, it stays in tune pretty well. I do like the Fender "F" logos on the back of them. Nice touch.
Nice and solid with a pretty good neck feel. I'm used to LPs so to me the neck is paper-thin. Good looking rosewood fretboard. Back of the neck is nice and slick. Very good finish. Mine is some kind of FSR w/ a transparent candy red finish and black pickguard. The wood grain is visable which (to me) is pretty cool.
Value? 7 at best. Its a mexican strat.

.If you buy this guitar you won't go wrong. Action, intonation, and neck set proper. Tune and play right out of the box. Nice new tones with the HSS and just a nice feeling guitar.
Liked the humbucker, definetly adds some new tones to play with.
Not a flaw on it. finish work is really nice.
Couldn't have got a better deal, guitar is steal at this price.

.This is a used guitar that looks absolutely new and was ready to play after tuning. The neck was straight with not fret buzz or any other discernable problems. The price was just right but the savings were astounding. Customer service promptly sent me the missing tremolo arm.

.I love my new Strat, plays great . . sounds great! It was classisified as used, but still has the protective film on the pickgurard. (nice!) Even though it was advertised as "mint", it has a very,very noticable scratch/indentation on the back that was not mentioned in the ad. I still would have bought it, but expecting mint condition, I would have appreciated a "heads-up" on a significant flaw.
