This is a good guitar but nothing special except for the polka dots compared to the MIM model so why pay more. But a Roadhouse or Jimmy Vaughn and at least you get better pickups. It is alot of money for polka Dots sorry Fender but no real value in the copy of a good guitar

.This is a well made, great looking, easy playing guitar. I have the red and off white polka dot version. The spots are a nice vintage looking creamy white that doesn't show in the photos on the website. the neck feels great and the action is low and easy. The only drawback is the stock pickups are sort of flat sounding without much character. I swapped them out for a set of Fender Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups and now this is my favorite Strat.

.I've had this guitar for a few years and love it! It was my first Strat, and I think I made a great choice. Mine is white with black dots. The tone and sustain are great, and I'm a maple fretboard guy so the neck is great. The only modification I've made is shortening the tremolo arm. I'm happy with the whole set-up; I'm just toying with the idea of sticking some Lace Sensor pickups in there to see if that makes any difference. I love the bluesy tone that the guitar gets now, though, so I don't know if I'll actually switch pickups. If you like blues and you're looking for a good Strat, look no further!

.People like stratguitar who haven't played um shouldn't rate them. Forget the stupid comments unless they have something to back it up!!!!! the finish is awesome and the pickups are great too!

.Lucked out and got one in new condition off the wall of a previous owner for a great price. I kept breaking the little-E strings (.011) so I swapped the bridge for a super-vee bladerunner. Whoa, good sounds turned into awesome sounds with nice sustain. So the E-string problem abated. But now I can hear that the pickups are a bit weak and narrow. In go a set of Fender Fat 50's. Uh, what, sound becomes fantastic, stunning player now. I'm very happy with this guitar. This guitar has a vibe when I'm playing it and it is all blues. In summary, good guitar stock, and better if you can get a used one... but a great player with a few mods.

.I'm sure buddy wanted his guitar to be affordablefor folks. However he still uses gold lace sensors. Which is key to his tone and sound.

.I own this guitar since approximately 1 year. I bought it used and I've made some modifications on it (H&H pickup configuration, new saddles and scallop). Guess what; It sounds louder and greater than my American Strat (even unplugged). The sustain is incredible! I'd recommend to do some modifications to the electronics; the original pickups are a little bit noisy and sound too thin. Put great pickups on it and it'll be ready to rock!

.I bought this guitar about 2 weeks ago, got everything set up on it and I love it. dont listen to that dumbass Dr.harmonica that wrote the other review, I know the guy, he's a bitch. This things great!

.When it comes to Polka Dot guitars, there are only two out there that come to mind: Buddy's Fender Strat and Vivian Campbell's Kramer Nightswan designed by Buddy Blaze of Texas. Makes me wonder which came first. In any case, Buddy's Fender plays like butter, however I think Vivian's Nightswan has about the lowest action that can be found on an electric guitar. Both are great quality. Tommy

.I have seen this guitar and read about it. I do not expect it to be different from any other MIM strat except in it's looks. Now Dr. Harmonica said he could not stand the tasteless dots on the guitar and questioned Buddy Guy's taste and skill. It only shows this guy is not too bright. But when I read his review it shows that he owns the guitar. Now why would a guy who hates the looks of this instrument but it. Either what he writes is not true or he buys stuff to complain about it. Anyway I would ignore this review and go and test the guitar for yourself. PS I do not particularly like the dots but if the thing plays good than that is good enough for me.
