I'm another one of those guys who started playing back in the 60's. I then stopped playing for about 40 years (yeah, I'm gettin' old). Anyway, I bought this MIM guitar because I like the red color with the black pickguard. Plus, it's a Fender at a rock bottom price. Don't let the price fool you. The workmanship is outstanding. I checked every square inch of this instrument and it is perfect. The neck is straight, the set-up is just right, and the intonation is spot on. And, as everyone has said, "it plays like buttah". I have it hooked up to a Vox AC10C1 tube amp and it sounds excellent !!!! If you want a Strat that is well made, plays smoothly, and can ROCK with it's bridge humbucker pickup, get this guitar.
