In a world with a lot of guesswork surrounding replacement parts, proper fits, and innacurate specs, it was wonderful to get something that was a perfect fit. These were a perfect, drop-in replacement for the stock tuners on my new MIM Fender Cabronita. Installation took 5 minutes of work with a hollow tube nut driver (and that included removing the stock tuners). I've done 2 string changes since, and the pins / locking mechanism is as good as any locking tuner I've used in the past 21 years (generally Sperzels). Smooth and accurate gears. Expedient string changes. Staggered, so you can get rid of that string tree if you want and remove another friction / potential binding point. The break angle over the nut is not nearly as dramatic as with the bent steel tree, but the angle is absolutely sufficient and honestly the original angle was (IMO) putting too much pressure on the nut and without lube (e.g. Big Bends Nut Sauce) I could see that being a nasty binding point as well. So, these tuners are not only convenient, but definitely help the overall functionality of the instrument. Great and worthwile purchase.Fender Deluxe Locking Machine Heads

Dropped right in to my Mexican strat. Only tool needed was a small wrench.

.These went right in on my Fender Blacktop HH. No fuss no muss. No drilling or extra holes. Couldn't be an easier install. They work great and make changing strings a breeze. They seem to be great quality. I'm happy!

.Mind you, there are varying heights (the three taller posts are E, A, and D. The short posts are G, B, and E. They drop in easily. ALSO, go to the Fender site and they have a really good rule-of-thumb for positioning the string holes when restringing (critical).

.I bought these because they matched the chrome hardware on my strat. They look great but the high E and B strings slip out of tune badly while tuning up. About a step and a half. I swapped the tuners around and had the same problem. I exchanged them for the Fender / Schaller tuners and the problem went away. They were a little more expensive but they work much better.

.The 3 treble-string tuner holes are filled with chrome! I wish I had discovered that before I installed them (and back when I bought them). So far I have been unable even to drill the chrome out. Seems like a major quality-control oversight. Advice: Inspect them before you install them.On the plus side, they were easy to install on a strat knockoff--no adjustments needed (other than clearing the chrome out of the holes!)

.I wanted to upgrade the tuners on my Strat. The Fender Deluxe locking tuners were the answer. It was an easy swap that took maybe 15 minutes. The locking tuners drop right in, because I was replacing Fender tuners with another Fender product. If you have never swapped out tuners before be advised the tuners are different heights depending on the location of the tuner. Fender makes it easy for first timers by placing the tuners in proper order in the package. Replacing the strings are easy peasy. Thread the string through the bridge, put the string through the tuner hole, tighten the locking tuner knob and tune it. A simple upgrade that makes life easier. Custom Guitar's Friend shipped the tuners out the same day I ordered them. Four days later they were in my mailbox. Great job MF!

.Great quality for a low price well worth buying I have purchased 6 sets so far and will continue to use them on all of my Guitars my keepers and my re-builds, They drop right in my Fender Guitars smooth as silk !
