Nice little amp, great features. I like the tubes comlimenting the modeling, as I don't like straight modeling. Nice variety of amps and FX. Wish there was a Mid and Presence control.

The bad:
Every combo I've owned has some sort of rattle or buzz somewhere, including my Princeton Reissue, and that thing cost nearly $1K, which is rediculous. This amp is no exception, and the first day out of the box I had to trace a buzz down to a bad speaker; the speaker has a buzz like the paper was ripped, but there is no rip anywhere. It does this completely out of the cabinet, so it's not cabinet or baffle rattle. I get so tired of purchasing products and then having to return/exchange them, only to get another one with some other problem.

Fender Fuse:
I feel Fender threw us a bone with this. You can create presets on your computer to your heart's content, but unlike the Mustang and G-DEC, you can't upload presets to the amp. You can only create them, store them on your computer, and use them when the amp is connected via a USB cable. This is completely useless if you want to take the amp anywhere with you. All this software serves to do is highlight the fact that 50% of the amp's true features are completely unusable without a computer connection. Therefore, I threw the software in the Recycle bin.

Lastly, the amp does not recall your Tap tempo setting after you change voicings or turn the amp off - there's no way to save your Tap setting. It's annoying to have to reguess my Delay setting every time I turn the amp on.

This is a nice amp that could have been so much better. It's worth keeping because it has a few nice tones, but now I have to replace the speaker and settle for less functionality than I was expecting.

It would be 3/5 if the speaker wasn't broke, and 5/5 if you could also upload your presets to the amp. With two strikes against it, I gave it 2/5-Below average. I recommend it, but only to those who know what to expect.

. Price, sound, great stock speaker, new modeling sounds and choices, 15 watts tube RMS, channel switching, light weight and Fender quality. Need I say more?
Sometimes people create a product so good that they just leave it alone, let it run its course and then eventually retire it......not Fender!!! They take the extremely popular and amazing Fender Super Champ XD, an amp most people who have tried have also bought, and dramatically improve upon it!! I have the original and love it, but I must admit this new model is even better in several different levels of operation. First, let me say both amps are great, but since the Super Champ XD is no longer available as new, the X2 tells us why by its amazing operational skills and value. The new version is highlighted by a great sounding stock speaker, excellent tube power @ a conservative 15 watts RMS, and most important of all slight modeling changes that give one more "Fender Sound" options than the earlier model. You still have many choices for those who want distorted, thrasher sounds, but, for true Fender fans, you also receive several new classic Fender sounds to choose from as well. For any professional or soon to be pro musician, this is one amp that can serve you in practically any gig situation. It simply sounds amazing and is very powerful and light weight to haul around. Seriously, unless you are an absolute "Rock Star" who needs walls of amplifiers for a big concert venue.....make sure you check this baby out. Did I mention that the price is very reasonable? This is one of the new standards in the Fender line and it is now made in Mexico instead of China. Should be a plus. Either way, check it out, you won't be sorry......this is one great amp!!!!!! By the way, I am no rookie, I have played professionally for over 40 years and I think this amp will be popular with many age levels and styles of players. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps you in your music.

.I am amazed at how much I love this amp. First off, I have been playing guitar for 50 years and played professionally for over 30. I have owned some of the most iconic classic Fender amps made. I don't understand the negative reviews. As a recording engineer for many years, I know good tone when I hear it. Maybe they got a lemon. I've played through this amp using my Fender American Deluxe Strat and a Tele, a 335, PRS Santana, an Epiphone Les Paul and the tones are absolutely amazing and carry a distinct sound with each guitar. Recording with this amp is a dream. It is very quiet for a tube amp. One of the main things I noticed while critically listening was the chiming harmonics and sustain; the strings just seemed to sing. The Treble and Bass response on the amp is amazing and the specially designed 10" speaker reproduces bright highs and a tight low end and surprisingly big sounding for its size. I have the Blond vinyl and Oxblood grill cloth model which makes for a classic Fender look of days gone by. I own a modified Fender Tweed Blues Jr., a Princeton Reverb RI, a Cybertwin, a G-Dec, Marshall MG and a Supersonic 22. This Super Champ stands tall along side of them all. Although 15 watts, it can still get loud. It is worth much more than the present price. This is definitely a keeper.

.I got really excited about this amp based on the reviews but it just does not hold up to real sound quality. We love small amps in Nashville because we play out so much, just roll into the venue and mic it up, but it just did not cut mustard. As an example, one great guitarist in town, Jack Pearson who played with the Allman Brothers for a couple of years, he usually plays though a blues junior, even in big venues and makes it scream. This amp wouldn't do it. The clean channel just does not break up, the modeled side sounds great in your living room but then as soon as you add a drummer or mic it, it reveals it's true self and admits that it does not indeed have that weight and throw of real tube drive.

So, I would buy this for my son or nephew etc to learn how to play guitar, but does not stand up to being an actually working man's amplifier. I see what they were trying to do, but I think that they just couldn't pull it off at that price point.

.This amp is not a bad amp compared to a lot in its price range. It has a variety of amp models and blends in a tube power amp backing to add some warmth to its models. 15 watts of power actually can get some decent volume cranked. Has 2 different channels one without effects and models and one with. The one thing I found impressive is that the high gain stuff actually sounds really really good to me. I was expecting a sterile fizzy gain but this is really smooth and easy to dial in. I really was happy with its sound. It handles mid gain and clean also incredibly well. The main drawbacks of this amp is that there is no mid control. Your mid frequencies seem to be set by what model you are using. Also the effects are fairly lackluster. All you have to control them is a selector knob and level control. While I feel this is good if you are looking to add a touch of reverb anything past 3 or 4 tends to overpower the rest of the amps tone and make it sound like you are in a cave or something. Additionally despite this amps sound after a year of moderate use it stopped providing a steady signal and would power on and then the sound would immediately fizz out. I thought it was the tubes at first but taking it to a tech revealed that the computer chip that controls all the models actually burnt out rendering this amp useless. Without the chip being replaced it is pretty much dead weight. I think its a good amp and I would end up giving it a better score if the durability and construction were a little better. I feel the ventilation could have been designed slightly more intuitively to limit this issue. I will not be buying another to replace and will instead be looking for an alternative all tube head.

. This is a tube amp, but you will not get the organic break up like you would with a Pro Junior or Blues Junior. except for the clean, everything feels solid state. You will need to put a new speaker in it. There are three good choice from Eminence. 1058 (dark), Ragin Cajun (bright louder), Ramrod (warm louder).
Pretty much every feature you can get in a amp now days, except a tuner.
Standard Fender quality, you can't go wrong. You will need a new speaker.
This is Fender's least expensive tube amp.
Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black
.I have several much larger tube amps and solid state power amps but wanted something smaller and more portable that could deliver a rich and warm tube sound without sacrificing sound quality too much. After weeks of searching the web and my local music shops I decided to give the Fender superchamp X2 a go. This amp has been a great addition, very nice tubey sound from ch1 and lots of great amp models on ch2. You can get everything from vintage fender tube clean's to very nasty dirty gain and just about everything in between from this one little amp, tons of sound options a dial away. I play all styles of music from classical to metal and this amp handles it all very well. The amp arrived in perfect condition, no issues at all with packaging or shipping, the amp is well built, feels solid, and looks great. The reverb and delay effects are very nice, the chorus isnt the best ive heard but its far from terrible. I was a bit skeptical about a hybrid tube amp, but having had owned and played this amp now for a few months I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I dont think there is anything close to this for a versatile tube amp at this price.

.I picked up the SCX2 because it sounded great, loved the simplicity of it and portability. I used it in the studio (a real one) for a day and got great tones, was thinking it was going to become my number one rig. Then I noticed "glassy pinging" during low notes and realized it had tube rattle. Since it hadn't even been a week, rather than retube, add "tube socks," etc., I took it back. Loved the tone, but tube rattle ruined it for me.
Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black
.I would definitely buy this amp and reccomend it for any style of music. Great loud amp in a small package.
The first channel is scrictly a clean channel that will not break up no matter how hard you push it.The second channel is an amp simulator that does a really good job of sound matching fender and other amps. The spring reverb, tremelo and delay are the only effects of any use on this amp. The chorus ih aweful.
When ordering this amp also add a ragin cajun eminence speaker along with 12ax7 Elelcro Harmonic preamp tube. Replaced the original speaker and pream tube within in the first week. Amazing the difference it made. The cabinet is not much to speak of. Made of cheap wood.
For the money you will not find a better little amp once the upgrades are added.
Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Black
.I was looking for a small and reliable tube amp for practicing at home and was attracted by the favorable reviews and price of the Super-Champ X2. I've had Fender amps in the past, and the clean sound of a Fender tube amp is a beautiful thing. However, this amp just doesn't deliver. Now I get it that it's small and should be expected to be limited in tonal possibilities. However, for an amp advertised as a "real tube amp," once you switch to the second channel to use the range of available "voicings" -- supposedly a significant feature of this particular model -- it pretty much sounds like a small solid state amp: it just doesn't have that sweet tube amp sound. For a small practice amp, it's perfectly acceptable yet underwhelming. But if you're looking for the sound of a tube amp, I'd try something else.
