Product Features

Inspired by the Pacific Ocean, the lustrous FSR Standard Telecaster HH Sea Foam Pearl is a tribute to the Telecaster guitar’s origin in California. With its unique aesthetic style, this is the perfect instrument for the stage—the one-of-a-kind finish shines under the spotlight with the glow of a moonlight ocean. Its exceptional style, thick voice and easy playability are sure to please those who like their music like the sea—mysterious and deep.

Powered by a pair of chrome-covered humbucking pickups, this Telecaster has a slightly thicker, deeper voice than usual, while retaining authentic Fender note clarity and articulation. Master volume and tone controls, along with a three-way blade pickup switch sculpt the pickup’s voice for titanic waves of sound that can be shaped to match any musical genre.

The comfortable modern “C”-shaped neck is comfortable during long playing sessions while the 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets provides a easy, familiar playing feel that handles chords and melodic playing with ease. A 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail bridge provides singing sustain along with accurate intonation and rock-solid tuning stability.

The warm, rich look of the fingerboard contrasts beautifully with the crisp FSR Sea Foam Pearl finish over an alder body. Other aesthetic touches include chrome hardware, skirted control knobs and a dual-wing string tree. A study in restrained elegance, the FSR Standard Telecaster HH Sea Foam Pearl is a gorgeous, luminescent addition to any player’s collection.

Nice guitar. Smooth satin finish neck, plays great. Set up perfectly out of the box. I prefer my Teles with humbuckers and these sound great. Looks sharp, too. Replaced the black pickguard with a white one. Makes it look even better. Great guitar at a good price.

Like many folks, I have a Strat and Les Paul. So very much can be accomplished with either. Still, I was looking for that 25.5 scale with Humbuckers. This is a comfortable guitar, really nicely made and has a humbucker sound- with the longer scale length that I have grown fond of. Fender rolled out a line of Standard Tele's last year with the HH config. I went to a couple of places and checked them out. The string placement on the fret board and general construction left me wanting, so I waited. Honestly, I like this baby much more than those standards that I played. If my playing ever gets so smokin' hot that I just have to replace the pickups - because they were holding me back, then I guess I might. Until then, the tone is mostly in the hands, and that is where my real work is needed.
oh, I did replace the string tree with the type that is used on the Fender standards. The vintage wing tree just was not getting the job done well.

Picked this Tele up on an open box deal and could not been more pleased with it.I have a couple of Straits and had been looking to replace a Telecaster I had regrettably sold years ago. It sounded great straight out of the box aside from needing a bit of tuning.

.Great guitar, very light, easy to pickup and play! Good tone, great playability. Perfect mojo!

.Have had this for a couple months + and it is a great sounding guitar. I had an original 72" Thinline with wide range humbuckers and this guitar with the standard humbuckers sounds just as good, without reservation. The belly contour and looks, are great assets. Don't let the MIM fool you. This is a 100% quality Tele and plays just as great as the 5 American Teles I have owned. Fender Mexico is turning out some great guitars at great prices. It did need a little set up with the intonation which a luthier friend of mine took care of. I play this guitar ahead of my American Special Telcaster which in it's own right is a fantastic guitar. The Sea Foam Pearl is a real eye catcher with audiences. Grab one of these while they are available!

.Let me say up front that I am a semi-professional musician who owns several custom guitars and believe me when I say if I changed the Made In Mexico decal to Made In the USA and told you it cost $1200, you'd agree that there isn't much difference at all between this MIM FSR Tele and many U.S. models. This FSR Tele features a nice body contour/belly cut that ramps up the comfort factor, which was already pretty good since the guitar only weights about 7.5 lbs. Now factor in a super comfy modern "C" neck with a 9.5" radius, a super smooth satin neck and a fast polyester gloss maple fingerboard and you've got yourself a pretty sweet Tele. As with many Fender guitars, this one comes from the factory with a set of extra light strings .009-.042. Normally, I put .010's on all of my guitars, but the feel on this guitar was so easy and slinky, plus it was set up and intonated perfectly out of the box and the sound did not suffer because of the lighter gauge strings, so I decided to keep using the .009's. That's a personal choice, so anyone that prefers a higher gauge can certainly switch. Soundwise, the humbuckers are obviously fatter and chunkier sounding than traditional single coil Tele PUPs, but Fender did a nice job of voicing them to retain enough of that familiar Tele sound, which can be dialed up even further by backing off on the volume knob a little. I am well aware that MIM Fenders can be hit or miss (Lord knows I've had my issues with them), but all I can tell you is this FSR Tele was pretty much flawless right out of the box and it looks and plays like a dream. The only changes I'm going to make are to replace the black pickguard with a white one (just my aesthetic preference) and swap the standard Fender tuners for a set of Fender locking tuners (because I'm lazy and hate winding strings when I change them). Otherwise, you've got a comfortable guitar that'll work for almost any type of music except for metal.

.This a great guitar at a great price! I like the special edition with the humbuckers, as a standard Tele sounds too thin and twangy for my taste. This guitar is well built and seems very solid. It came set up pretty well out of the box...I had to adjust string height and intonation a little bit. The main drawback is the stock pickups. They're a bit muddy and lack definition to me. Surprisingly, they also put 250K pots in this guitar. So, I swapped out the pups for Golden Age humbuckers from Stewmac, and 500K CTS pots. All the factory wiring looked solid. It sounds a world of difference better, such an awesome guitar! I'd recommend it, but be prepared to put in some new electronics! That probably goes for almost any guitar in this price range, though.

.Bought this on sale for a lark and I am blown-away. The feel is Fender, but the sound more Gibson. Workmanship is flawless and the sea foam metallic pearl finish is gorgeous. Other than some electrical options and especially price there really isn't much discernible difference between a USA made versus Mexican made Fender.

This is a very different kind of Telecaster. I love the sound of single coil Teles, but when you need it, these humbuckers give a much more full and jazzy mellow sound than its standard counterpart, When driven hard, they overdrive and compress smoothly for a classic rock-blues sound -especially the bridge pickup which is mounted on wood instead of steel -though I expect metal players would want more drive.

The pickups are not the hottest humbuckers I have ever played, but seem well balanced and match well with the same amp settings you would likely use for a single coil Tele - it makes switching guitars on stage really easy with little fussing with amp settings.

The neck is bit more beefier (but not like a classic Les Paul) than my American Fenders, but still very comfortable with a real Fender feel -great for hybrid or finger picking. The additional neck stiffness also helps to increase the sustain - which let's admit it, that's what humbuckers are all about. On the other hand if you are a "neck bender" this may not be the axe for you! The humbuckers don't have coil splitting, but split coils never really sound the same as the real thing. At this price you can afford another single coil Tele and not have to compromise your sound!

If you are a die-hard Tele player and want to try something a bit different without spending a lot of money, this may be your ticket.

.Pickups are a little weak but the neck and color are nice . Not the normal sea foam color , more metal flake . Just a sticker to say it is a special edition . Not good , hope it stays there . A little heavy . No problems so far . Got mine on sale and it looks great .
