It's aesthetically stunning, exceedingly easy to fret, has a fairly authoratative voice, with great low end.
I have a new favorite guitar! I was a bit apprehensive ordering this on line, never having had the chance to play it first, but I gotta say, my expectations have been exceeded - by a bunch!

It took a while for the strings to "settle in" (I'd forgotten that about nylon-string guitars - the last one I had was an Alvarez, about 30 years ago), but once they did, the sound is fabulous! It's got a great low end, and is extremely easy to play. It came set up just about perfectly. I probably will lower the saddle a bit the first time I change strings on it, however. The only other guitar I've ever bought that came this well set up is a high-end Michael Kelly acoustic/electric. Even my Breedlove needed some setting up.

To top it off, it's aesthetically magnificent. Beautiful!

So don't hesitate...if you think you might like this one, go ahead and order it. You won't be disappointed.

.My C5 was received 4 years ago. I enjoyed the guitar very much, it was above-and-beyond good-looking for the price, and its sound was warm-semi-bright and projected well. At the end of last year I upgraded my strings for more serious classical guitar study...later in the same week I came home to a fully separated bridge. The glue was intact; the wood itself gave way with some wood fibers stuck to the glue on the bridge. I miss the guitar. I actually want to send it to a luthier to have it repaired...or I may just buy another one. My advice to any who want to get this guitar: if you live in dry/arid climates, get a HUMIDIFIER for the guitar case...this probably might have saved my guitar. P.S. mine was made in Portugal.

I have played the guitar for more than forty years and own several expensive steel string guitars. I recently started taking classical guitar lessons with a very accomplished teacher, with an incredible resmum. The new fingerpicking style I am learning is less-than-easy on a steel string guitar, so I decided, after playing the teacher's high end nylon string guitar, I should buy one. Of course I thought it wise to start with something inexpensive. After reading all the on-line reviews I decided on the Cordoba C5 at it's affordable price. What a guitar. The fit and finish is incredible and the sound is crisp and clear. The teacher played it through most of an hour lesson and was blown away with the quality and the sound. Great guitar at three times the price!

.I bought a used cordoba C5, and i must say i got a good bargan musicianfriends.com is the place to shop they are completely honest when it comes to condition 2.i have to say for it being a condition 2 it looked brand spanken new.everything on it is perfect good action clean paint, nice fret board.one thing i notice this classical guitar has a tuss rod inside of it, i said "WOW" never seen a nylon string guitar with a tuss rod.Anyways the sound on it is remarkable very warm lows and bright highs. good deal for a used product.satifaction 100% i love this web site

.The only thing I can complain about is mine did not have the frets finished that great on the ends. When I changed strings i filed off the sharp edges and evened them up with the edge of the fret board carefully. And adjusted the truss rod to my liking.
Also be warned: If you just look at the cedar top it marks. Cedar is soft but gives that warm tone. I have dings and have no idea how they got there. Pick marks, nail marks, etc. Get use to it. You can get a half yard of clear plastic at good old WalMarts fabric department for a couple bucks to cut out self stick plastic pickguards for your guitars with poly finish. Do not use on Nitro finish. Not even in the case. Thats it.
I got it to learn flamenco style. Like the rest of the reviews say here. Its hard to put down.
It makes any style songs sound really sweet. I play it every day.
I looked and played a bunch in this price range and a few bucks above. The neck on this guitar is super comfortable and perfect width. I have a nylon with 1.75 width nut and like this one better.
The fact it does not have electronics is not an issue.

.After looking at classical guitars in this price range, I settled on the Cordoba primarily because I could adjust the action with the truss rod. Very few (any?) classical guitars in this range have this ability. The workmanship on my guitar is excellent, no complaints other than the fret ends were a bit sharp, which was easily remedied in a few minutes with a small file. If you're a beginner, don't waste your money on a less expensive "starter" guitar...as you learn you'll appreciate the ability to dial in the action on this one, and you'll learn faster playing on an instrument that you don't have to fight to fret properly. If you're an experienced guitarist, I think you'll be impressed by the price point on this one.

.I just got this guitar and I love it so much I can't put it down. The sound is amazing. I had a question I needed answered before I bought this guitar and Cordoba responded with in 24 hours. Very impressed with the service. Thanks Cordoba!

.I bought the Cordoba C5 two years ago, and I have enjoyed it ever since. The tone is great, and it is definitely worth buying. The Cordoba will beat any guitar in its price range, and it looks much better too. The only problem I have is that the inlays are not on the fretboard, but on the side of the fretboard, and I sometimes get mixed up.Another problem is one day, when I walked into my house, the bridge had come off. Luckily I was still on my 1 year warrantee. Get a humidifier.

.I'm new to classical guitar as I've been playing a Martin acoustic for 20 years, but I'm practicing hard to learn the proper technique to play this beautiful instrument. It was the best value I could find in it's price range. I highly recommend it1

.The action on this guitar is as good as many other very high priced guitars. The tuning system is perfect and leads to very accurate tuning. A rich and full tone. A great guitar for the price.
