I got the Ibanez acoustic baritone for Christmas this year. It has a great feeling neck, and the scale length is easy to adapt to from a regular guitar. Also the body of the Ibanez is a comfortable size. I like it much better than my son's Alvarez acoustic baritone which has a longer scale, fatter neck and huge body. I just can't get comfortable with the Alvarez. The Ibanez on the other hand is very comfortable to play. The finish is good and nothing stands out as looking like a budget guitar. The only downside I have found so far is the built in tuner. I think Ibanez just used their standard preamp / tuner for this guitar, and it has an extremely hard time locking in on the lower strings. The tuner is so bad It's practically unusable. However, otherwise, I don't think you can beat this guitar for the money. I thought the smaller body would really make the guitar deficient in bass, but the bass response is very similar to the Alvarez. Neither guitar has great response for drop tunings, but the Ibanez holds it's own with the more expensive Alvarez. If you're a rock metal musician that plays drop tunings, and you're looking for a guitar to do some occasional "unplugged" gigs, this guitar will get the job done nicely!
