This is the best playing bass I have ever laid my hands on. The action is so low that you can shred on this bass without any fret buzz right out of the box. I play many stringed instruments and am coming up on 20 years of playing. I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself to play in my church's band. It sounds great on a plain old church amp and great on my fender hot rod guitar amp. The looks are just as beautiful as the picture. It is a work of art and a finely tuned precision instrument. .I bought this bass because it's Ibanez and I've always liked Ibanez and it was in the price range I was willing to spend at the time. The finish is beautiful it's a little bit lighter than it shows in the picture but I ended up liking it better. Out of the box it had fret buzz so I went ahead and did a regular set up on it that stop the fret buzz. In all honesty when I first started playing it I didn't like it. The more I play it the more I like it maybe I'm just getting used to it. The a string seems to have some dead threats that is when I had him I don't get a good tone out of them at sounds almost muted. All in all it's a good beginner bass for the price watch a few videos on YouTube to help you set it up and you're good to go.

.This is a graduation gift for my son. When I first opened the box I thought it was the wrong model as the color way not even close to the website photo. Much darker! Don't get me wrong, it's beautifully done and I am keeping it regardless but the lighter interior on the face of the guitar with that grain popping out would have been sweet!

.I was impressed by the looks and feel of the instrument. Played well and the pickups and electronics delivered a wide range of sounds. Worked well with my Sans Amp. Had some fret buzz initially but the strings were too low and I have heavy fingers. A small tweak of the stings and the buzz was gone. I replaced the strings with a lighter set and it played great. I now own a Fender, Yamaha, and a Ibanez and love them all.
