I have owned many great, expensive, vintage jazz boxes (1949 ES 300, '65 ES 330, ES 350, Heritage H550, Guild Starfire III and X150 for starters)and as great as many of those were (at least one was a turkey), this Ibanez is super high quality soundwise and in terms of playability beats them all. In the cruelest sense, if something happened to it, I could get another one if I needed to, though I hope I never need to--I have definitely bonded with it. The only guitars I have played recently which are better (and a good deal) are the Eastman Strings guitars which are way more expensive.I highly recommend this guitar, whether for straight jazz or rootsy, bluesy rock, it will not let you down.Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AG95 Hollowbody Electric Guitar Dark Brown Sunburst
.nice attention to detail the finish is outstanding with no defects every thing is crisp and clean fantastic sound either amped or acoustic. excellent price i am very pleased with this purchase and im sure you will be as well.
everything easily accessible and feels natural to hold and manuever. neck is slightly angled for easier access to fret board
clean lines beautiful finish pictures do not to this guitar justice. abalone cut in perfectly, nothing on this guitar looks or feels tacky. very classy guitar

.I am a blues/jazz novice and enjoy the sound Semi-hollows produce. I've had this guitar for over 7 months and should relay a few things I've experienced: 1) I had a heavy buzzing sound that turned out to be springs on one of my pick-ups but warranty took care of this, 2) the upper corner on the rear string guard has been playing havok on my right forearm so I've had to adjust out of my comfort zone (pull my arm out a bit), 3) The gold finish has started to tarnish already.Other than that, the guitar has a gorgeous finish and sounds excellent when unplugged. I've had it professionally set up and I feel like I'm cheating it plays so nice.

.I plugged this guitar into my Marshall TSL head , angled cab (half stack) right out of the box.....although I don't own a Les Paul, I've played and heard many over the years....for half the price you can enjoy the quality and tone of a GREAT guitar. If you have ever played a guitar that sounds so good , you want to keep playing and develope your skill , you know what I mean....

My AG95 arrived yesterday. Here's my review:First, the look of the instrument…..every bit as nice and beautiful as the photos I had seen online. I was a little concerned because the type of wood (bubinga) varies from piece to piece. I was very pleased with the wood grain and the finish. The pickguard reflects the bubinga grain for a very nice touch.
Second, a little disappointment with the tailpiece. Every photo that I had seen showed the guitar with what appeared to be a wood or wood insert tailpiece. In my photos, you can see that it is an all metal wire-type tailpiece. I got over that pretty quickly when I began to play it.
Another change that, I think was positive is that the pickups are now seated in black plastic instead of white. This was one of the troubling things that I had with the images that I had seen online. The seats are partially covered by the pickguard giving it an unusal look in white. The black seats blend right in with the finsh...hardly noticeable at all.
Initially, I was disappointed with the sound through my Fender (evil) Twin. It was harsh …no warmth. It played very well, though. As good as any instrument that I have owned in my 50 years of playing. Once the small strip of thin packing foam between the wood bridge and the body was removed, suddenly the warmth and roundness of tone were apparent.
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. It did and will inspire me!

This guitar is one of the best sounding and playing guitars I've ever played. And let me tell you, I live at Guitar Center, Best Buy, and local music stores. It sounds as beautiful as it looks, and it rocks out hard too. The only think I would ask is that the bridge be pinned to the guitar. .My Artcore is an AG 86 TRD, an older model from this one, but basically the same guitar. One of the reasons I purchased the guitar was due to a Guitar Player magazine's endorsement several years ago that went on and on about the quality, fit and finish of the Artcore Series. When I purchased mine I was not disappointed. Besides the obvious eye candy that this guitar is, the neck radius is the most comfortable and 'fastest' I have ever played. The fit and finish is as close to perfect as you can imagine. I agree with Guitar Player magazine when they commented that they didn't understand how Ibanez could produce such a wonderful instrument at these costs (under $600). Word of caution, it dose have a standard free floating jazz bridge ( a hassle in my opinion), and it doesn't intonate as well as a standard acoustic electric. But for sheer playing enjoyability I don't think the Artcore series can be beat. The workmanship is nearly flawless. I play this guitar each and every day. I'm looking now for my next Ibanez purchase. Truly great instruments!

.I have had this guitar 4 months now, i have playing it almost every time getting into my studio room. Be honest with you that i collected guitars for over 10 years, until now i have 25 guitars from Gibson,PRS,Fernandes,Schectter,Yamaha,Dean,Takamine,Epiphone,Ibanze to B.C.Rich...but for this price you get a Well made guitar, built like a solid weapon plus Amazing sound quality...i don't see how you can go wrong about it. Please note that my guitar made in China, but i have looked over and over from time to times and i have to say that China Products have step up to the better quality compare to years ago. Most the time you paid for what you get but the expensive guitars doesn't means always good, if you lucky to have this guitar made in Korea...then you are the King!

.Very nice right out of the box. The finish and set up perfect. The more it's played the more it gets set. The tone is awesome and it plays like butter. I own 13 stringed instruments and this Ibanez is one of the best. I was hoping the one sent to me would have the steel trapeze and black pickup rings...yay! I have another jazz box that I have been upgrading with quality hardware but, it can't hold a candle to this guitar. I love it! Any guitar needs to get used to the environment and adjust to humidity, temperature etc. After being played awhile a string change and new set up does wonders. Play on I say.

.I've had this guitar for about four months now and I love it as much as the day I got it. It's a dream to play and it sounds great whether you're playing soft jazz or crank up the distortion for some mean rock and roll. It's held up perfectly for as hard as I play it. Honestly, it feels like playing a 2,000+ Gibson or something. Well worth the money, not to mention I feel like a stud playing this gorgeous piece of work. I would highly recommend buying this guitar.
