Quite simply I am stunned by, and enthralled with, how great this guitar sounds, and nevermind the ridiculously low price. It has the dry, woody, warm, deep, full, crisp mahogany sound that I have been searching for. The wow factor does not subside, I can tell the two of us are going to be spending lots of time together! This, my friends, is what an acoustic guitar should sound like.

I always change the stock strings when I get a new guitar, but this baby sounded good right out of the box nonetheless. It smells good too. And thankfully the mahogany body is several shades darker and browner than the stock photos. This thing is a big delicious brownie.

The Ibanez AW54OPN is surprisingly lightweight, a feature common on big name high priced guitar manufacturers on their quality instruments. With this Ibanez, the only thing you are sacrificing is a whopping price tag. You might get marginally better sound by paying many times as much money. If I were to do a blindfolded test, this guitar would easily beat guitars that cost way more anyway. I feel like I have found the best value acoustic guitar on the market.

I absolutely love the fact that this guitar doesn't have a thick layer of shellac on it, it is totally nude wood. And the impressive, resonant, full-bodied tone it puts out is a direct result. I took the pick guard off as well. Why hide any part of that beautiful brown sugar?

The neck is probably the most comfortable acoustic neck I've ever played. It is thinner and flatter, rather than an uncomfortable bulbous round baseball bat neck and thus is very easy to play, just what I was looking for. And being satin, when your hands get sweaty from playing her, they won't stick and slow you down. The action was perfect right out of the box too, quite low and very easy to play.

I immediately noticed how well this guitar resonates, it is a real joy to actually be able to feel, not just hear, the notes I play on it, as I hold its beautiful body against mine.

I could probably go on gushing about this guitar for a long time but I'll just tell you, if you want that mahogany sound, I truly cannot see how you could do better than this wonderful tone machine. Highly recommended, I would give this thing 10 stars if I could because the value of this thing is just out of this world. There is nothing lacking about it whatsoever, no quality control issues, or any drawbacks you might expect with an instrument priced so low. If you want to spend obscene sums of money for abalone inlays and a thick layer of shellac, that's your business; I however will be busy playing my heart out on this wonderfully unique acoustic that has it where it counts.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend that you purchase this guitar, because I wanna be the only guy around who has the coolest looking, best sounding, easiest playing, best value dreadnought acoustic guitar on the market.

.I've been playing a very nice acoustic for almost 20 years. I play and sing almost every day. I just wanted a different sound. This guitar is beautiful! And it plays and sounds like a dream. I still cannot get over the price. Honestly, this is a wonderful guitar!

.I was tasked by a friend who is tight with money to find a good quality full size guitar for her 12 year old son who is moving up from a 3/4 size guitar. I didn't think I would be successful in my quest in the low price range.

For some reason Custom Guitars Friend is blocking the names of my other guitars.

I personally have some pretty nice guitars including a Seagull 12 string, a Wash****burn (now my son's), a Guild and finally a Martin D-15 so I think I know a little about guitar sounds. I did a lot of research on line and found the @@AW_54. By the way, I am a bit partial to the darker woods (cedar and especially mahogany). I located a local music store that one in stock. I was absolutely shocked by the sound that came from that guitar. What was really interesting was the store had a D-15 sitting about 5 feet away. This guitar _ didn't have the projection my Martin has but that full rich mahogany sound was there! You will not find a better sounding guitar in this price range.

.A buddy recommended this box...Checked it out at a local store... Really surprised at the tone and playability, especially in lieu of it's cost.... Beats the heck out of my "standard" equipment costing many hundreds more.
Definitely a keeper.

.When I bought a set of nut files, they were Ibanez. That should tell you something. When guitarmakers make tools for other guitarmakers, ding! It took me a while to put all this together. Recently I bought an AS73 which is their clone of an ES 335 Gibson. Another winner. Then, just to show you brands matter, they recently came out with the AW54 Mini, a 3/4 style like Taylor Baby. ChaChing! Win Ibanez again. And I got an Ibanez AS100C case for that AS73, fits fantastic and is priced right. Ibanez rules.

.I'm an experienced player . . . I own 2 Taylors and a Martin and I know guitars pretty well. I needed 2 guitars for my students at school. This guitar got excellent reviews and I took a chance on it. As it turns out, I love this guitar. Great action, rich/full sound, looks beautiful, no flaws in the workmanship. So glad I got this one.

.Great looking, well built, excellent sounding guitar!
The workmanship is high-end and the loud sound is what you would expect from an acoustic guitar without a cut-out. I found no imperfection in the stain, shape, or assembly. Everything has been well done.
Just an observation, the nut and saddle sat a little high, so some adjustments had to be made. However, adjusting the saddle is typical for a new guitar since each player has personal preference for string height. Even if the guitar is in tune, it may not sound right if the saddle and nut are too high. The sound changes significantly if the strings have to press down too far down to the frets. Sanding the saddle and filing the nut to the right measurements has made this guitar something to keep for many years.

.I haven't been a guitarist for long, but I've been a musician for over 17 years. With that being said, I obviously know what a good acoustic guitar sounds like. This guitar is absolutely phenomenal for the price. It sounds so crisp and warm. It stays in tune and it looks beautiful. Buy this guitar.
