Buy it. For all those reasons above, if you're looking for a great acoustic for the price, either to start or expand your collection, you can't go wrong the Ibanez V70.
It's a simple guitar, you have 20 frets, tight machine heads, a wide body that's cutaway to reach higher frets. The controls for plugged in action are easy to adjust when shaping your tone. It's comfortable and sounds fantastic both plugged and unplugged. The only downfall is the straplocks, which are close to the body and make it a bit difficult to attach some straps.
Phenomenal. Sounds great, just the right amount of reverb from the soundhole, just a joy to listen to and to play.
This guitar is a steal! This prce for a fantastic addition to your rig, I've never had a problem with it. At such an affordable price, you might think that you sacrifice tone quality, but I've received lots of compliments on the tone from people at shows and from videos of this beauty.
Ibanez V70CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar Black
.Pros:
effortless tuning pegs
high quality pick-up
versitile playing style
responsive versitile controls
highly pleasing appearence
well hidden 1/4 jack
cons:
slightly heavy
no on-board tuner
this guitar is very solid and produces great tones, I am able to play anything from funk to blues on it without any adjustment, and when you plug it in the side controls take away any need to adjust your amp, and the tuners are effortless, and the way the jack is integrated with a strap stud is convienient, the only problem I have with this guitar is that it is a bit heavy, not too bad though, with a strap you wouldn't even feel it, and I would have liked a built in tuner, but i already have an external one, so it isn't a big deal really
it is a great value, for the price you have a guitar that can play bluesy tones or if you plug it in with a distortion, gives you some beefy metal tones and still screeches when you want it to. with that the tuners are efoortless and are actually quite pleasant looking along with the black finish, and the white trim adds a nice contrast to it and really makes it pop.

.This guitar has become one of my closest friends. I can't imagine not having it to play, and I wouldn't want another one right now. One day, when I'm a little more affluent, I will probably buy something nicer, like a Taylor, but now, this guitar is all I need. Plus it's acoustic-electric, which my sister's wasn't. So if you need a guitar to play that has a good sound for a college-student's wallet size, buy this one. You won't be disappointed.
The preamp and controls are solidly built. The battery compartment has a tendency to slip if you don't make absolutely sure that the catch has clicked securely in place--that's my only warning. The frets are good, the tuners are great quality, and, although I would have liked a solid-top, the laminate still gives awesome sound.
Everything on this guitar is well built. I can't find a single flaw with the construction. Solid sound, and good looks.
I am a fairly new guitarist, so this is my first guitar. but I've made the rounds playing other people's guitars for the past year and a half. I learned to play on my sister's Breedlove and probably would still be playing that if she wasn't moving away. I've played Taylors and a Yamaha and various other brands that aren't really worth mentioning. I've played enough good and bad guitars to know the difference. This is a decent guitar. It's not a Breedlove or a Taylor, but it's a great guitar for someone who can't afford a Breedlove or a Taylor. It's dependable and sturdy and it has a great price. I would buy it again with no questions asked. For the money, you just can't ask for more.

.For a country/Southern Rock artist like me the Ibanez V70 is a great guitar! I bought it used from my sister inlaw 2 years ago and the only problem I have had with it is the bridge has started to lift behind the peggs. That in it self may not be do to the low quality of the guitar itself but more the conditions it has been in (humidity, hot car during transport, ect.) I have plans to reset the bridge wich is somthing I would not do if I did not beleave the guitar was worth it. It has a great sound plugged or unplugged, responds beautifully to finger picking, and just has an overall beauty in itself. I had to adjust the action a little bit but thats to be expected with any guitar. You have to fine tune it so to speak for your comfort or style of play. I love this guitar and will never get rid of it not even when it wears out I will hang it on the wall and still keep it.

.I've bought 3 of these guitars because I "WAS" an Ibanez fan. One was for a friend. 2 of the guitars had tuning keys that "grinded" when turned &hard to tune. My other one had "crackly" electronics that died completely after a short while. Ibanez would not honor their warranty & I'm still stuck with it. Considering guitar prices, it's an o.k. guitar. Just don't expect the Ibanez Co. to help you.

.I bought this guitar for my husband. The electronics were bad & he contacted the Ibanez co. They would not honor their warranty & even sell him new electronics at a discount. He had 5 Ibanez acoustic-electric guitars & the Ibanez rep. was not helpful with him about the problem. As of now, he has disposed with all Ibanez guitars but one & he likes it a lot or it would go, also. I wish they'd been more thoughtful about the problem. He probably won't buy another one.

.My brother, a Vietnam D.A.V., has 5 acoustic guitars already, but he saw this one and the price, he just had to have. He has hardly put it down since it arrived, and where he goes, so does it, THANK YOU for being a friend of the musician!!!

I bought this guitar 5 years ago and for the past 4, I've been doing regular gigs with it. Somehow, I got an excellent model of it because it sounds incredible both unplugged and plugged in. The neck is very comfortable and though the electronics don't have many variables, it still shines when plugged in. I've tried to replace this with a Takamine and an Ovation and they couldn't stand up to this guitar. I probably got really lucky when I bought this but to me, it's a wonderful guitar!
