For 25 years the SR has given bass players a modern alternative. Embraced by bassists over the decades, the iconic series continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body and perfectly matched electronics.
The SR300E 4-string electric bass is priced like a beginner's instrument, but it has features that make it anything but a cut-rate starter axe. First off, it has a 5-piece SR4 maple/rosewood neck and light, mahogany body with smooth rounded edges and a deep, lower cutaway for better access to the upper frets.
For electronics, the SR300E features Ibanez PowerSpan dual coil pickups. Equalization chores are handled by Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ with Power Tap switch. This allows the control to be more effective in creating useful, popular bass tones.

I have played guitar for many years and recently I've wanted to take up bass playing. This bass was recommended by the salesperson at GC, in Wichita. I had done a considerable amount of research on beginner basses but this wasn't one on my list, big mistake. I'm glad I listened to the salesman. The neck is thin, smooth, and fast. The factory set up was great. The finish is outstanding and the electronics are great. Because of the pickup switch and active EQ, there are tons of tone variations available. A great bass for the beginner or experienced musician. Note: I recently changed out the stock round wounds for some Chrome D'Addario XLs and Woah! It now plays LOW and LOUD thru my Rumble 500 Combo!Ibanez SR300E Electric Bass Guitar Autumn Fade Metallic
.I'm and experienced guitarist with many styles under my belt. I bought this bass to learn and record my music and basically play in my studio. I have found that this bass is inexpensive and has A great tone. I am currently playing it through A Fender Rumble 200 watt amp at low volume and it sounds good in recordings. Easy to play, no fret buzz and good tone, who could ask for more

.I take lessons from an extremely talented Custom Guitar and he likes it for me...I'm loving playing it. I have a Hofner violin bass, but I wanted to learn on a long scale bass, as it was easy enough to play the hofner using all the bad habits I developed teaching myself 6 string. if I had any minor complaint it would be slight E string buzz if you hit it wrong.
