Product Features

Schecter is breaking new musical ground with their Slim Line Series of electric guitars. Designed with an ultra-thin, lighting fast neck and a sleek contoured body, the Blackjack SLS C-1 is armed with Seymour Duncan Full Shred and Jazz humbucking pickups, a TonePros w/ string-thru body bridge, and Schecter locking tuners. Elegant design appointments include a "Hell's Gate Skull" inlay on its ebony fretboard, and the entire guitar is adorned with black chrome hardware.

3-Piece maple neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3-Piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3-piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Satin finish and Ultra-Thin profile
The SLS collection features a satin finish neck for lightning fast playing above and below the 12th fret, an Ultra Thin neck profile (19mm at 1st fret/ 20mm at 12th fret), and new Ultra Access neck joint shape for easier access to the last frets.

Ebony fretboard
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long sustain.

Seymour Duncan Full Shred and Jazz passive pickups
The Full Shred contains double rows of Allen screw pole pieces help fine tune the high end, leaving a tone that's fat and chunky, yet perfectly defined for speed riffs. Seymour Duncan's Jazz is a classic moderate output humbucker. Don't let the name fool you; it's not only great for jazz, but also country, blues, funk, classic rock and heavy rock.

Schecter locking tuning machines
These tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.

Hell's Gate Skull inlay
The Mother of Pearl 'Hell's Gate Skull' inlay compliments the beautiful ebony fretboard. The thin white binding strip adds a nice highlight.

Arrived very secure with no issues. Action was a bit high, but I prefer mine a little lower so perhaps I'm just not that used to it. I also own a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR, and compared to that guitar this thing is alot thinner and lighter. But man is the tone MONSTER! Love the passive Seymour Duncans which just scream. Has great cleans with the coil-tap feature. Just overall a great value for the money and have never been disappointed with Schecter guitars. I have a third guitar (Gibson SG Standard) and all I can say is that I've completely forgotten about it. Maybe I'll sell the Gibby and buy a third Schecter.

.i have been playing for a solid 3 years now and let me tell u this guitar beats all i have played and own. its simply a beast my only problem is fret buzzing but that's and easy fix. it gets awesome metal tones and the sustain is unmatched unless u get the sustainiac pick up haha but this guitar is amazing i have played gibson, ibanez, jackson, esp witch i also love but this is so much better but lets get down to business if ur looking for a guitar that can handle slipknot, as i lay dying, bullet for my valentine, born from pain basicly any metal riff u can think of this is it but it can do much much more just go try it ur self and u will understand the awesomness

.I bought this guitar on sale, I am not really into Crimson red, or skulls, but because of the sale price I bought it. Once I got it, the crimson red was OK, the skull inlay is pretty cool, I loved the way the neck was satin, and the way it played and sounded is worth having it in Crimson red!! I love the pickups on this,The Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2N passive with the Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10 passive bridge pickup sound awesome. Great tuners, I've put it thru the different distortions and amp modes and love it. I am liking more each time I play it, and the Crimson Red is growing on me to :-)

.I did a lot of research when purchasing this guitar, comparing different brands and configurations, and I'm completely satisfied with my decision. Not only does the guitar look amazing, it plays and sounds really nice. The action is good and the combination of locking tuners and TonePros bridge keep the guitar in tune. Just as a heads up, the Hell's Gate Skull inlay has been discontinued and the fret board has small dots now. Although this wasn't an issue for me, some people may be disappointed when they get the guitar because the fret board is a bit plain now. It's too bad that Schecter doesn't do something a bit more flashy for the inlays, but it's still a very nice looking guitar.

.So I have this guitar for over a year, and I must say I'm very happy with it, and would highly recommend it. Never tried Seymor Duncans pickups before, and I think the neck pickup is amazing and has a ton of clarity. Works great for shredding metal AND playing Jazz. The bridge pickups is fine, nothing special in my opinion, but I know a lot of other people really like it.

Two things immediately struck me when playing this guitar. First, the satin finish on the body and neck give the guitar a great feel and make playing it really smooth. I will never buy a guitar without a satin finished neck again. Second, this guitar is light as an emaciated feather, probably the lightest guitar I've ever held. Now, on the one hand, this is great. I can gig with it for hours and not get tired or have sore shoulders. The downside is, the guitar doesn't really balance at an angle like I'd like it to when wearing it with a neckstrap. It will sit about parallel to the floor, instead of with the neck pointed up, unless I hold it that way with my forearm. Overall though, very solid guitar though.

.This guitar is good for anything, the neck and fretboard are among the most comfortable i have ever played in all my years of playing guitar and the pickups can tackle any sound from smooth jazz to grindcore. The coil split is another neat little feature although i dont use it much; however it is nice to have to accomplish greater tonal variety. The neck is a completely satin finish and the fretboard is eboney; coupled with the fact that this is probably the thinniest schecter neck (basically an ibanez wizard neck but not as flat) and you basically have one of the most ergonomic guitars on the market at a very reasonable price. I got the blue one and mine did not have the skull inlay on it, which i prefer. If you have a few years of playing under your belt, this is a guitar that will last you for many many years, i couldnt imagine not having mine and would not hesitate to buy another if something were to happen to it.
