.This thing is simply amazing. Bought it completely expecting to have to upgrade the pickups (I play metal) but these Schecter super II's are incredible sounding and super versatile. I've never been so happy with a guitar out of the box. The coil tap gives you a lot of tonal diversity as well. This guitar I think is built for metal but it'll handle it all. Just a solid workhorse and very playable. Highly recommend.

.I originally purchased this guitar to take with me when I am teaching music; it was on sale for 300, so I figured it was worth a try. When I received it, it was already set up to play perfectly, right out of the box. The pickups are really impressive for stock pickups; they are set up for coil tapping, and when I use either one in humbucking mode by itself, it is absolutely SILENT when I am not playing, even on ultra-high gain. The pickups also have great tone in single-coil mode. I have played guitars that cost over twice as much that have not felt or sounded as good as this one. Definitely worth the buy!
