The Pacifica 112v guitars deserve far more attention than they seem to get here in the U.S. I've owned this several months now, maybe 100 hours of playing. Really sharp alder body, old violin sunburst. Other than a slight lowering of the action, it was set up ready to go out of a nice box. Even the stock strings were very good, since changed though. I no longer gig, but one could make a living with this guitar. Intonation essentially right on. Open chords ring true, no nut filing needed. Frets are super nice, clean, kind of medium jumbo. Playing through Spider IV 75. The Alnico pickups just sing for many styles. Total crunch on the humbucker, total rockabilly, blues, superb cleans on the singles. Rock, blues, country, even jazz with neck pickup slightly lowered. Very harmonic. It is all here. The coil split adds another dimension. The action, feel, playability is fast and smooth. It really fits. The bridge comes set very tight, and since I don't use the trem bar ever, it was perfect for me. No real need to block it. Nice saddles. The workmanship and quality throughout exceeds any Squier, including the CV, I've tried or owned. (I have no idea how another reviewer knocked the knobs off?!) You pretty much get the quality of a MIM (or even USA?) Fender Fat Strat for this price. makes some of the finest instruments in the world, no matter the price point. The 112v is amazing for the price, quite professional. Excellent addition to any collection.

.This guitar is a great value. The tones are versatile but the playability is astonishing.i've played high end Fenders and Jackson a couple Ibanez and an ESP standard series and this guitar plays as good or better than any of them.My only complaint is that the tremolo feels cheap but thats an easy fix at this price as are the pickups if their not to your liking.

.I really like this guitar great tone and the color is perfect and the humber can go from clean to dirty with one frick of the wrist. only one complaint the knobs fall off every once in a while but it is no big deal I just put them back ond they still work fine. i'm sure I could get it fixed but i dont want to

.At this price and even a little higher, nothing comes close. Neck is perfectly straight, high quality rosewood fretboard with flat radius that is easy to bend and frets that are similar to narrow jumbo, AND the neck joins the body at the 17th fret instead of the 16th like Fender so the upper frets are easy to access. Tuners stay in tune. Body is comfortable and well balanced. Pickups aren't spectacular but still sound better than Squier or even Fender Standard pickups. Just a great, usable, fun to play axe.

.I got this guitar as a level 1 open box deal. It was exactly what I was looking for, a Strat type body with a humbucker in the bridge position. It looks great and plays better than my 1976 vintage Fender Strat. The only complaint I have is the volume control has a noisy spot near the middle of it's range. I'll fix that by either cleaning or replacing the pot as soon as it annoys me enough to get the tools out.

.This guitar has a nice range of tones it can produce. I play mostly blues and rock, and I find myself using positions 2 and 4 on the pickup switch the most often (with the bridge pickup in single coil configuration). When the bridge pickup is used as a humbucker it adds quite a bit of volume, so just be aware of that. Out of the box the action and intonation were good, but there was a little fret buzz. I fixed that with a truss rod adjustment (the neck was too straight). Also, the vintage tremolo bridge was sitting right up against the body of the guitar, so I had to loosen the screws in the back to let it float a bit. Doing so required me to lower the action a bit, but now that it's all set up, it plays beautifully. The only issue I have left with it is that the nut pinches the 1st and 2nd strings, but that can easily be fixed with a file or maybe just some lube. Great instrument, I would buy it again.

.In my earlier review, I made the comment that the trem makes the guitar go out of tune. I feel bad that I made that comment, because now I realize that I just didn't give the strings enough time to break in. I also forgot to mention that it is probably going to be necessary to loosen the screws that hold the tailpiece/trem just a little bit, so the trem has a little "give". I did this to my strat, too. The guitar DOES stay in tune when using the trem. Simply said, you just can't beat this guitar for the price.

.So it came down to this or a Squier strat. Needless to say i went with the 112V. For the price of this guitar the quality is superb. The neck feels simply amazing, and the humbucker at bridge with coiltap to keep the tradition single coil strat sound is just a added bonus. i got the natural finish and i could not have handpicked a better looking grain. If you are looking at a Squier strat, please take a hard look at this guitar. I usually never give a guitar a 5 star rating, but with the features, the feel, the sound, and the quality you get for the price its unbeatable. No adjustment to the action was needed it was lower than i expected it to be. This is my first yamaha guitar, so impressed with it, i'm looking at a revstar now. Extremely happy with this guitar.

.I've had this guitar for several months now, and I still love to play it. I play to backing tracks through my computer on Music Creator 5. I was able to tweak the Music Creator and Pod Farm tones to my liking, and this guitar sounds beautiful on the computer! (It also sounds great through an amp, of course.) The only complaint I have is that I just can't get the action quite right. I like fairly low action, but in trying to get it there, I get a buzz, even though I kept working with the truss rod and adjustable saddles. I've done set ups on all of my guitars in the past with much more success. I think I'll just have to take it to a pro. I also have a Mexican made Strat, which I use for "serious" playing, but the is still my favorite when it comes to practice. Also, the trem bar can't be adjusted to "float" like on my MIM Strat. I called , and he said it can't be done, but honestly, I think it is just that the trem on this model is not very good. Also, the trem makes the guitar go out of tune, so I just took it off. Again, comparing the two guitars, the Strat's trem is awesome, but the 's is much like the trem on a Squire - not much good. But then, you'll pay more money for the MIM Strat. That being said, the is still very comfortable to play, and the the neck is fast and smooth. For the money, you can't go wrong on this guitar. I am still perplexed as to why the color is called Sonic Blue. This guitar is more like Surf Green. It is not blue at all like the name and photo.

.Pros:
Feels good for my child sized hands. The Natural yellow satin looks different from the picture but its still a beautiful guitar if you are are partial to the natural body look.
I practically a beginner and I know a few chords. The neck is very slim and fast.
The guitar is made very well and the necks slimmer than my Washburn wi60V.
