This was an add-on to the standard 5 piece kit I bought...was less expensive to do this way than a-la-carte. Here's my review from the 5 piece:Pleasantly surprised at the quality at this price point. These "new" stage customs in birch area very nice and sound great. Badge looks great too...made in China. Similar in these aspects to the Recording Customs at a fraction of the price. I've been playing over 40 years and started with in the late 70's. My last 's were a Japanese made Tour Custom set in the mid-80's. I couldn't justify the cost of any pre-owned 80's-90's when looking for another kit and certainly wasn't going to pay for a new Recording Custom. Is it the same birch? If not, doubt anyone could tell. Regardless, I heard great kits sound like garbage and some cheap kits sound great...it's mostly in the heads and proper tuning anyway, regardless of the brand. For the record, my other kit is a DW kit...nice, but I'm really liking these 's...I wish I kept those old Tour Customs, but these will do!

.bought this floor tom for the left sideof my Stage Custom kit. My kit is 8-10 years old the cranberry fade color. this tom' color is really close, fits in well. it has a great sound, I replaced the stock Remo head with Aquarian Response 2 to match the rest of the kit. Awesome addition. makes quality stuff. Arrived right on time as promised in perfect condtion.

.I got the Regal Black, 18" used floor tom in the scratch & dent section. Got an excellent deal. Drum was NEW! supposed to be used, & have some minor blemishes- its perfect. Untouched as far as I can tell, And the sound is well beyond my expectations. Perfectly adds that "Thunderous bottom end" on the end or rolls and fills- particularly great for heavy music.

.I bought this as an add-on to my Stage Custom kit that is 7 years old. My kit has a black lacquer finish. You can see the wood grain on each drum. The floor tom does not quite match. No wood grain and the wood is lighter (inside). The hardware matches...sort of. The lugs are only attached by one screw!
Other than that, it's a good drum for the money.

.I love the finish, the size, tje sound, and the tunability. What a great drum! I normally play Ludwig, but I wanted a smaller floor tom than the 16 inch. I got this just in time for a Christmas gig, and was able to quickly tune it up with the stock heads for our performance. It sustains really long, and since it was mic-ed, I put a Remo O-ring on it to kill some of that sustain. Only used it that one time so far, but definitely liked it!
