This is a great little guitar. I always wanted to learn to play guitar. I am a retired Music Educator and Professional Drummer. I am a large size man and regular sized acoustic guitars have always seemed bulky and hard for me to handle. I also have large hands and that was a problem for me as well. I had almost gave up on playing the guitar until I found the APXT2. This guitar is very easy for me to handle and the neck fits my hand perfectly. I actually enjoy practicing and playing this little guitar. Unplugged this guitar is great for practice. But, this guitar needs to be plugged in for performance. When plugged in this little guitar sounds as great as any full size acoustic guitar. The only drawback is that does not make a hardshell case for this guitar. It comes with a padded gig bag. I was very lucky, that after searching high and low, I fould a very affordable hard shell case that actually fit this guitar. The SKB Baby Martin Case (SKB-300) is a perfect fit for my APXT2. I am attaching a photo of my APXT2 Guitar in my SKB Baby Martin Hard Shell Case. I'm very pleased with both.

If you're looking for an inexpensive thinline mini for stage, this guitar has very little competition. Unplugged, it won't sound as full as larger bodied guitars made of solid tonewoods, such as the Taylor GS Mini. But plugged in, it is hard to hear the difference, and the costs less than half the Taylor and is easier to take care of. Also, the thinline design makes it less prone to feedback. The short scale and lower string tension make it easier to play than a full size, nice if you have small hands or joint pain. Awesome carry-on guitar if you have to fly to a gig. The sunburst finish puts me in mind of a 1930s parlor guitar, even if the shape isn't quite right, and indeed this makes an awesome fingerstyle guitar for ragtime, blues, and old-time Americana. There's a SE Asian guy on Youtube who plays with one of these. Check him out. He's fantastic, and the guitar sounds awesome. Four stars doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, just that it's a good player that's somewhat lacking in luxury appointments. At this price, that's as good as it gets!

.This is, quite simply, the most comfortable acoustic guitar I have ever played. I'm a small woman with short arms and have never found an acoustic that fit me well. I didn't want a child's toy guitar so when I first saw this little beauty, I was skeptical. And then I held it and played it. I'm a believer!! Beautiful full sound. Light and easy to hold. A thin body so I can easily reach around and an incredibly smooth neck and fret board that is a dream to play. Great action right out of the box. I don't think I've sacrificed anything acoustically from such a small guitar. This little beauty can play with the big boys, and plugged in, it sounds ever better. It doesn't have a fancy equalizer but it does have an on-board tuner and volume/tone controls. I'll let my amp handle any other sound tweaking I may want. I really love this guitar and can't say enough good things about it. The size is a dream come true for smaller hands and arms but the neck is not so narrow that folks with chunkier hands couldn't play it. After much research, I am beyond happy that I finally found this guitar. Love it. Love it. Love it.

.As a very short person with short arms and small hands, this guitar is perfect for me. I just recently decided to try and learn to play again after 20+ years and this guitar has really made it easy and fun. The sound is great for such a small package. Highly recommend, just wish it came with a hard case instead of just a gig bag.

.I have been playing for 59 years. Own several guitars. Play finger style. This little guitar has become my practice instrument. Easy to play out of the box. Have the action and intonation set by a luthier, and it is wonderful to play. I did add a pick-guard (by preference). I have smaller hands and this little guitar was a great find for me. I will not be without one in my music room.

.I got this 3/4 size yamaha for my daughter who is 8. It is a perfect size for her. Sounds ok unplugged, but more importantly is solidly built and tonally correct. Stays in tune between lessons and practicing and has tuner built in. I got a "blemished" violin burst colored one for her and I cannot find the blemish. Like others have mentioned, the action comes high, but minor tweaking of truss rod and sanding of bridge corrected this. I paid one sixty for ours and it is difficult to imagine a better starter instrument for that price. Other musicians and her teacher have all commented on how nice it is, and I personally think it beats any other small guitar south of the Baby Taylor.

.This is an Awesome Guitar, Sound? Well Its Small bodied, but Clear and Loud enough Unplugged, wonderful for Writing easy to sing with, Plugged in This is One Awesome sounding Guitar, This is where this Guitar Proves that Size does not Matter.lol Its very well Made, Its Beautiful Got it today and I'm amazed with it. It was very close to being in perfect tune when it arrived. I was shocked. I had a hard time choosing this guitar over the Dirty thirty series 000, but I am so Happy I did I own a Great Divide Travel Guitar, that unplugged has a little more on the Low and High ends than this Guitar, But then again It has a lot on the Maetins and Gibsons and Taylors that I've played that are travel size. Its a shame that Its no longer sold on here, Its an Awesome Peice of Guitar for the Money. But This Little , is righ there with it Plugged in, Buy One, or Two you will not regret it at all. Keep on Picking and Plucking!

What can I say about this wonderful little guitar other than it is a whole lot of fun to play and plays better than much (much!) more expensive guitars. Would I take it on stage with me, no, but for practicing nothing beats it. Buy one and you will not be disappointed. After just a very minor tweak of the truss rod, it plays like a dream. Great quality and craftsmanship at such a low price. Please, do yourself a favor and get one; throw in a THR5A and away you go!!

.I've been looking to add a small acoustic guitar for home use and travel (have an Ovation Celebrity...LOVE it, but don't always like to lug it around). I just got this , and am quite happy so far.

It was packed nicely, and arrived with no damage. Finish (natural) is great/no blemishes. It came with a nice padded bag, which it was packed in. Funny, the bag had some saw dust/small wood shavings floating around in it (?). I checked the guitar over to see if it came off the guitar, but it was perfect. Must have been from factory I guess.

After tuning it up and playing a few times/getting the strings loosened up, it's starting to settle in and sound great. I'm sure with new/better strings, it will sound even sweeter. The action is a tad high, but nothing major. It definitely has a unique sound (sort of ukulele-ish, given it's size/build). It's very comfortable to hold and play. Very happy with the purchase.
