The engraving is now more elaborate with finer detail, an improved mechanism from low B to C# ensures a proper seal for these notes which promotes a clear response throughout the low range of the instrument, and the instrument now comes with a semi-hard case that offers a contemporary look and greater ease of transport.

The action is incredible - so even and easy to play. I have the lacquered version of the 62, and sometimes it is too warm for me. I love the bright tone you get from a silver plated saxophone - it will really cut through the ensemble. I keep it simple and play with a Rascher mouthpiece. .Through out my career with the Navy Band I played a lot of different instruments. My favorite was the YAS 62II Alto Saxophone. This sax is very responsive, easy blowing, and it sounds great.
This a great horn for experienced students and pros alike.
