This Avett D-35 is absolutely gorgeous- in looks and tone.
Starting off with a Swiss spruce top, East Indaian rosewood sides, and an East Indian rosewood/koa back, this guitar is a true tone cannon.
The lows are deep and tight while the highs are full yet clear.
A perfect tonal balance is the result.
Chords are rich but with each note sitting perfectly in the mix.
The projection here is excellent, but, if you need to get to that back of the hall, this Martin's got you covered.
The Martin Gold Plus pickup delivers the pure tone of this beauty without coloring. Incredible.
The mahogany neck here has a thin feel with a Performing Artist C profile.
The neck is satin finished for quick position shifts and a great thumb feel.
The look here is absolutely gorgeous- natural finish showing off the rosewood and koa grains, multi ply herringbone body binding, bound ebony fingerboard, Avett Copper Snowflake inlays, and chrome hardware.
