The following review is not meant to reflect on Custom Guitars Friend as they are top notch.

First I would like to say that this is a lower end guitar and expectations were not super high to begin with. This is the second guitar that I have had my hands on which looks like a elementary school student did the finish work, I'm talking terrible. Painted over dirt/debris, total of 4 dents on the fretboard, cuts in the neck trim, neck trim shaved down with a carpet knife, knobs falling off, paint coming off the bridge and to top it all off the 24th fret not finished/leveled/dressed.

The guitar plays awesome and if Jackson would knock four hundred off of this guitar it would be worth it. The trem is junk and the pickups are junk. If you don't care about the oh so many flaws and don't mind changing the pickups and the trem then it would be a mighty fine guitar in terms of playability.

I wrote Jackson (Fender) to let them know about their quality control issues and expected an answer along the lines of " We will look into that ASAP" or "We will get to the bottom of this". The answer i got after he agreed that the pictures i sent to him were of terrible workman ship, " Buy a custom shop" and " Or keep trying until you get a guitar that suites your expectations. All i can say is the bloodline is dead. Dave Mustaine if you are listening Jackson needs you more than ever. Fender if you are listening sell it to Dave as you do not deserve it. Fender Squire is of better quality than this guitar. Go with an ESP/LTD if this is your price range, my ec1000 is near flawless

I ordered this guitar on December 21st and got it on the 24th. A lot sooner than I expected! The guitar has a great feel to it. It screams with tone and holds tune pretty well with the Floyd Rose tremolo. This by far the best guitar I've had in a awhile. I've had Srats, Ibanez, and Epiphone guitars and this one beats them all hands down. The only thing that I can call negative on this was I wanted the white version but that was on back order till January so I got the black instead. Still looks great in the black. Excellent guitar for the price.

.I bought this axe in 2014 and it was my first neck-through guitar. After playing novice jackson guitars for 7 years this was a big upgrade for me. The first issue i had outta the box was setting the floyd rose but it was a quick and easy fix after watching some online tutorials. The first thing I noticed was the amount of sustaine this axe was giving. Every note was ringing for days compared to my old string through jackson JS series. I own a line 6 flextone III amp and it sounds like it's stage ready. The Duncan Design stock pickups are decent hence why I only gave it a 4 star rating but I prefer a little extra output on my gear so I upgraded the neck to an EMG H4 passive pickup and I tell you this baby screams Bloody Murder on my non-tube amp. The Floyd Rose is perfect for getting those high pitch piggy squeals. I've yet to purchase a full tube head amp but i can only imagine the difference in sound quality this beast will produce. The neck profile in this axe is insane. It was clearly made for shred. In a nutshell this guitar is perfect for all styles of Rock and Blues. My Child's college fund well spent.

.Condition two blemish was damage on the fretboard. Hasn't affected playing so I can't complain. But the factory shipped the wrong guitar the first time. I feel like that's a little ridiculous, especially seeing as how they called me two days after I ordered it to confirm my shipping address. You couldn't confirm the actual guitar?
