This is the followup from my previous review. Custom Guitar friend took the JS3 with dead and out of tune frets, and, after swearing that they will go through it with a fine toothed comb and will make up for previous one... sent me another one. They sure did send me another one. This one with dead graphic equalizer. But at least there were no dead or out of tune frets on this one. I do not know whom Custom Guitars friend had checking out this poor bass. It is a bloody disgrace. For both, Jackson and Custom Guitars friend. I am DONE!!!

.This was a BLOODY DISASTER. To begin with it came with a tuner twisted at 45 degree angle. As if this is not bad enough, the blasted thing had not only BUZZING frets on the 1st string. It also head OUT OF TUNE frets on 3 strings out of 4. Checked with PROFESSIONAL grade Fender tuner. First 4-5 frets on the string would be IN tune, next 2-3 out of tune, and then it it would be IN tune again. Pickups are not just bad, they are horrid. The whole thing sounded like it was played in a wet damp cave. Custom Guitar friend is sending me a replacement. Lets hope that it is just a lemon. The goofy thing had TWO stickers with names of people who "inspected" it. I strongly suspect that those QC inspectors were drunk, deaf, blind, and on crack. You should be tweaking hard if you let such atrocity pass the QC. Beautiful looking bass though. SUPER comfortable. What a bloody shame. Fender is driving Jackson product line into the ground

.I have the blue one and decided to get the red one. Had to get it set up, but after the set up it plays awesome!! Love both my Jackson Basses.

.I went to a local GC yesterday to look at Basses in person before making a choice. Was playing on a Fender P-Bass until I noticed this baby sitting on a stand by a Rumble 100 Amp. I started playing it and immediately fell in love with it. It was GC's last one at that location so they sold it to me cheaper than MF but it was open box. 10/10 would buy again if given the option.

.Nearly flawless, not much to add. Would buy another in a heartbeat. Oh wait, I bought the red one too, so I guess I did!

.I just picked this up the other day, and I can't put it down. Plays like butter, looks great, sounds great. A little fret buzz but that is because I have not played in years and I need to build up my fretting strength, the action on the bass is very nice. I played the red and blue models, and I prefer the red one but that is personal preference. I completely recommend this bass for any use. The 3-band eq is nice, but the treble cannot be turned up all the way because it produces a slight hiss in the headphones, which I presume would be heard through an amp also. But notch it back just a little and this bass is very quiet. I used to play passive pickups so these actives are quite a treat. You can dial in a lot of sounds, but I will keep my effects pedal just because. The stock strings work well, but I am loading it with solid black DR strings because it will look sick!

.Christmas gift to the Misses. This thing is a real bang for the buck guitar. Great tone with multiple tone options. Light weight and amazing craftsmanship.

.I noticed there wasnt a review for this guitar so i figured id go ahead and add one. I played this recently in a local GC for about 2hours. I came in for a jazz bass, played one for 5 minutes then picked up the jackson. The range of tones you can have for this bass with the eq knobs alone is extensive. This bass can cover pretty much any sound your looking for. Its been great for funk and jazz, as well as rock, blues, folk, and metal. I play different generes and find myself switching basses quite often. VERY happy to have a bass that can "do it all" and do it well. Never wanted a jackson bass until I picked this model up. Very pleased. only reason i gave it a 4 out of 5 is cause i havent played it for that long and dont know how it holds up after its worn in after time.
